Perfect ending!
Omg! What?! This is so good. Absolutely loved it. First, if you do audiobooks, you need to listen to it. If you like to immerse yourself in reading like I do (which means you read along while listening to the audiobook), then for sure do it with this series. Obviously, like book one, it’s taboo, dark, and spicy. So check your TWs. But TF?! The things I didn’t see coming?! Honestly, I thought I had stuff figured out, and was like I know where book two is going to go. HA! No, I didn’t. I had no clue! I mean, for real. This book opened Pandora’s box for me. Here I am using the credits I saved up on Audible for the other series in this world, and figuring out how much longer I need to wait to get them all lol. Anyways, the plot twists. Angst. Spice. Unhinged MMCs. Suspense. It is so good. I love the characters. Sooo much goodness. IDC what Malachi has done. IDC. I’m just saying. Lol. Perfection. This contemporary romance is book 2 in The Web of Silence Duet. This book has dark content from beginning to end. Make sure to check all your trigger warnings. The romance in this book is a forbidden romance. The book is very spicy with very descriptive spicy scenes. Malachi has lost her. The only thing he’s ever wanted in his life. Olivia. He will do whatever it takes to get her back. She has finally chosen him, and he doesn’t care how powerful his new enemies are. They can’t have what’s his. This is a great ending to the duet, and I didn’t want to put it down.

Creepy, crawly, and delicious!
That ending was freaking beautiful! But really, that whole book was beautiful. I feel like I absolutely loved all of this book and its precourser. The storyline was deep, complex, and tugged at all my strings. The characters were fantastic, and I wanted to be fully embedded in their lives. The taboo of it all was just an additional delicious component, and I absolutely love the beautiful wrap-up that we got for these amazing characters. So sad it is over, but what a fun and satisfying read! ❤️

Dark and Beautiful
(This is book 2 in the Web of Silence Duet - A Taboo Dark Romance | READ TWs)Leigh Rivers did not disappoint with Little Liar! We got more of Malachi’s POV and back story to him which, to me, helped dim some of those red flags that were hanging around him. Was he psychotic at times, sure, but Leigh let us see that there was a broken human behind his chaos. Grayson Owens performed Malachi’s character amazingly and helped us to feel the hurt, the brokenness and the rage that was Malachi Vize.As for Olivia, we see her stand up more for herself but still have the same loving heart she has always had. She cares deeply which was a blessing and curse for her. Heather firth was a great choice for being the voice of Olivia. She was soft and firm when necessary. She allowed to feel the love Olivia had in her heart even through her brokenness due to certain events that took place (not gonna give any spoilers)Both Heather firth and Grayson Owens (along with Leigh Rivers’ writing) made my knees buckle with those spicy scene. I’m still questioning myself for how they felt during those scenes. Part of me was like Sebastian (you’ll get it once you read the book) and the other part of me was reasoning it away. Either way, I was doomed once Heather and Grayson started narrating those scenes. They were too good not to enjoy it!As for the rest of the cast (JF Harding, Michelle Sparks, Sean Masters, Shane East and Aaron Shedlock) they were like the cherry on top. Each character they voiced was definitely the right choice for them. While the story would have been great with just Grayson and Heather, giving us a full cast elevated the book and allowed us to be even more immersed in the story line.

Could've been better
Semi spoilers. I really give this 2.5 starsSo the first one was great! And the first 3 chapters or so went into more background on Malachai's childhood before foster which was good. However , the rest of the first part of the book was just the same story pretty verbatim from Little Stanger, just only from his PIV instead of dual. I really hate reading the same Damm story in a muted version. You could skip Little Stranger and read Little Liar and be OK still. Really don't like the structure of this second book. Could've been better without most of the first half and and into more details of present day. It had spice and I love Mal and Olivia, but just felt rushed and poorly executed.

The Perfect Ending but the Start of Something GREAT!
❣️MUST read Little Stranger first!!𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐄: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🎧Audiobook🖤Taboo Romance🕷️Adoptive Siblings🖤Forbidden Romance🕷️Unhinged/Possessive MMC🖤Masked/Mute MMC🕷️Mental Health Rep🖤Kidnapping⚠️ Check TW!!EVERYTHING Leigh Rivers writes is absolute gold!! The last 25% of this book had me giggling and kicking my feet!I’ll be real…Part One wasn’t my favorite. It was pieces of Little Stranger told from Malachi’s POV, which wasn’t as gripping for me, but it gave us something so important—his backstory. Seeing glimpses of his childhood made me connect with him on such a deep emotional level. It was heartbreaking and eye-opening to finally understand his desperation to be loved, fear of abandonment, and the way trauma convinced him he wasn’t worthy. My heart ached for him as a little boy. Then came Part Two…and man did it deliver!! Picking up right where Little Stranger left off, the plot gave me everything I needed. And when some of my all-time favorite characters from The Edge of Darkness trilogy showed up? That crossover gave me LIFE. 🥹The spice was giving, but the storyline was even better—gripping, twisty, funny, and above all, healing with some incredible character growth.⭐️ 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐋 - This duet was freaking fantastic, and I will always recommend it! The ending wrapped everything up perfectly! I couldn’t have asked for more.

another banger
I feel like the first half was unnecessary but I did enjoy seeing it from malachi perspective, morally grey mmc , good plot ,and I LOVED the cross over from my favorite trilogy
