I’ve been using this pillowcase for the past week, and I love it! I’ve been interested in getting a silk pillowcase for awhile since seeing many influencers talk about silk items, but I hadn’t made the jump. Thanks to TAFTS I was able to try a silk pillowcase! I’m not being paid for this review, but I received a rebate for the cost.Very CoolingBecause of the nature of silk, my pillow was kept very cool! I never felt like my body heat was radiating off the pillow like I feel with regular pillowcases. This made sleeping very comfortable because I wasn’t overheating.As a result of the cooling, my face felt less sweaty in the morning. Usually when I wake up, my face feels kinda sweaty, but using this pillowcase my face didn’t feel sweaty at all! It felt nice and dry (the way my face feels after I’ve rinsed with water).I also noticed that my hair got less greasy in between washes. I think this was because my head was less warm so I wasn’t sweaty.Differences I NoticedAlong with feeling less sweaty in the morning, the silk pillowcase made my hair less messy when I woke up. This was because there wasn’t any friction between my hair and the pillowcase the way there is with other fabrics.I’ve also enjoyed laying in my bed more. Often I’ll prop up my pillow to sit up in my bed, and I could feel the difference in the fabric through my clothes! It felt really nice to sit against.Since this pillowcase zips closed, my pillow can’t fall out of the pillowcase! It’s really nice not having to adjust my pillows all the time, and my bed remains looking nice and neat. The zipper is really smooth and doesn’t catch!Overall, I would recommend this to anyone! I think the hair and skincare benefits are something I’ll really appreciate now and in the future. They come in so many beautiful colors that will go with anyone’s color scheme. I also love that they’re pretty affordable. I was expecting it to be more expensive than around $20! Love love love!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This pillowcase is incredibly silky and feels amazing against the skin. It really does help keep me cool at night, which has been a game changer for better sleep. The design is absolutely beautiful and adds a nice touch to my bedding. It is a bit on the smaller side, so it might not be ideal for larger pillows, but it works perfectly for standard sizes. Overall, I love it and would definitely buy again!

I received the product later than expected due to unknown reasons. Also, for some reason amazon marked the package as delivered when in reality I received it two days later than the delivered day. The product has nice packaging and I liked how the product felt. The pillowcase feels like silk and it it super soft to the touch which made me surprised despite it being cheap compared to other silk pillowcases. I washed the item with detergent and cold water in the washing machine, and it came out super clean and nice with no loose strings to snags. However, I left it to air dry since I didn’t want it to shrink. The pillowcase fit my pillow and the zipper stops the pillow from slipping out. After using the pillowcase for about 2 weeks now, I really like the pillowcase and I would definitely purchase another one. The pillowcase helped me feel cool throughout the night and not sweat as much as my usual pillowcases despite the weather being super hot. Also, my skin improved a lot and I noticed that my skin wasn’t breaking out as much as before. Lastly, my hair felt amazing in the morning despite me moving around a lot while I sleep. My hair didn’t tangle at all and it helps it not stick to the pillowcase. Overall, I really liked the pillowcase and I would definitely purchase another one to have as back up since the price is good and the feeling of it is amazing on my face and hair.

I received this pillowcase as part of Tafts' testing program, so to be honest I didn't expect them to be great quality. I was, however, very pleasantly surprised at how thick and luxurious the silk felt. I was really not expecting it to be as opaque as it was. The hidden zipper was also a nice touch and prevents the case from slipping off which is a pet peeve of mine. The matching mask was also well made and the construction was nicer than the silk mask I already owned so the Tafts one has become my bedside staple now. Overall I am very pleased with the silk quality and have been considering purchasing a matching case for my husband’s side of the bed (he didn’t really want a silk case but has started considering it once he saw mine!)Packaging: I liked the simple and minimal packaging for the pillowcase in the frosted ziploc bag, the product seemed clean and ready to use right out of the bag (normally I would want to wash a new pillowcase first but I didn’t in this case). I have since handwashed the pillowcase in gentle soap and it held up well.Pros: I mainly wanted to test using the pillowcase with skincare on and so far this has worked out; the case doesn’t absorb the products and I wake up feeling like the creams, serums etc have sunk into my skin properly.Cons: I was hoping that the silk would feel cool since I tend to sleep warm, and to a great extent it does but at times I felt quite uncomfortable sleeping with my face touching the silk. Almost as if I was sleeping on plastic wrap. This might have been because I was testing it in the summer with serums on and the air was hot and humid but it is the reason why I switched back to my linen pillowcases eventually. I am hoping to see a difference in the cooler months.Neutral: This is not the fault of Tafts, but I realized upon receiving the item that the Ivory color that I purchased was truly a creamy ivory and it didn’t really match the eggshell-white bed linens I have. The photos make the Ivory color seem closer to eggshell. In retrospect I should have purchased the Cool White color but I was afraid it might be too bright compared to my bedlinens. I wonder if it would be a good idea to have photography that actually shows the product against a regular white sheet.. it could just be a corner of the pillowcase.
