Possibly the best documentary about Leonardo ever made
I first became interested in Leonardo da Vinci around 20 years ago, and I've seen many documentaries about him since then. Having rewatched this multiple times, I'm confident in saying that it is quite possibly the best documentary that has been made about Leonardo up until this time. There is no single documentary or book that can truly capture the scope of who Leonardo was, but this wonderful documentary leaves you feeling the spirit of Leonardo more than any other.

DaVinci, The Painter god
I have literally watched this video 3X within two weeks. It's production is beyond comparison, is it is edifying as well as entertaining. Ken Burns and family have excelled here!

Excellent bio of a great man.
Purchased this after viewing the series on television. Excellent bio of one of the all-time greats! Provided background information which seemed to have been overlooked over the ages.

Burns delivers delightful, enlightening DaVinci documentary
I have bought and watched many of Ken Burns documentaries and loved them even when I spotted a factual error in his Baseball. I need to set aside a separate section in my dvdI, however, was very surprised when I heard Burns and company were sailing across the Atlantic to prepare a mini-series on the fascinating Leonardo. My worries were quickly dissolved when I started watching this truly great study of one of the greatest thinkers and creators that mankind has produced. So I give this documentary as many stars that are available and watch it over and over again.

Reading the dictionary is more entertaining that this movie.
In my opinion, Leonardo Da Vinci by Ken Burns is a horrible film.It consists of a collection of comments and graphics. Some comments were given in English, a large majority of the comments were given in a foreign language and required constantly reading of the subtitles which distracted from viewing the graphics; not enjoyable.I could only view this movie for about 40 minutes. I did not finish the first disc and never started the second disc.Reading the dictionary is more entertaining than watching this movie.
