The Ashton - Drake Galleries 'Coco' - Poseable Lifelike Baby Monkey Doll by Artist Linda Murray - Incredibly lifelike with RealTouch® Vinyl skin and hand-applied hair.

The first Coco I received was perfectly packaged but her face was very dark with little to no definition. She also had neon purple eyes! Hmmm not quite what I expected. The Bradford Exchange were great and stood by their promise of accepting a return within 30 days.I ordered another and hoped it had a skin tone similar to the advertising image. She too was perfectly packaged. A quick glance at her face told me she had a lighter skin tone and better definition than the previous one, although a little darker than the image portrayed by Ashton Drake. Coco came with a pink plastic dummy that works well, but not the nuk dummy as shown in the manufacturer’s image. In truth this would look too clumsy on her.The eyes on the replacement doll were a deep blackcurrant colour which look brown depending on the light. Much better!Coco is advertised as a monkey and she looks rather like one, but the fur on the arms and legs are more like those of an orangutan. I guess you could trim them if you wish (outside the return period of course). Her eyes are more like a baboon, big and enquiring. I rather like them.If you’re looking to buy this doll, just bear in mind the manufacturer’s image is that of an artist. The one you receive won’t have that painted detail but you will get the same sculpt, which will have been manufactured with some detail.I think she’s rather adorable. I hope the pictures help.

I've just received my coco for my little girls birthday and she's not what I expected really. I am a little bit disappointed for the price of her. She comes wrapped nicely in a box, but her arms hairs are seriously long and only on the top side of her arm. She has a bean bag body. She's quite stiff. I expected her to be flexible really. I just think attention to detail hasn't been great when it could have been a beautiful monkey. The hole where the dummy goes also lets her down. Should be magnetised. Not really overjoyed with the product but seen as my daughters birthday is on Sunday I haven't got much choice to send back and replace with something else.

I really love my coco, so lifelike, my friends argue who is going to cuddle her sell worth the money. The maker is very clever sue
