So glad I got this!!!
I have been thinking about getting one of these for a couple of years now, being that I am in my 60s. I am like most people my age who are trying to size down and get rid of the excess, not wanting to add yet another appliance that sits in cupboard and you have the read the directions again by the time you finally use it again or you don't use it at all. So, it took me a bit before I took the plunge, AND I AM SO GLAD that I did! I am very pleased to report that this appliance is WONDERFUL! I am especially enjoying it for making Indian curries. I have for decades, stood over the stove, for hours at a time, doing the necessary process for making the rich delicious curries handed down to me by my Indian family and now I can get the same results in just minutes. I have always loved cooking, but with the family gone and now it's just the two of us, I have lost some of the joy, I am slowing down and would rather spend less time in the kitchen but still desirous of good food, the kind that usually takes effort. The Instant Pot is cutting that time down by hours. What took 4 hours is now 40 min and that includes only 10 minutes of my standing over the pot adding and sauteing. The rest of the cooking time is done by the Instant Pot. My husband is so pleased as he loves Indian food and now, we can have it more often. This appliance is easy to operate; the size is ample for the two of us but also to feed company. It is easy to store, and best of all clean-up is a breeze!

Why Don't You Have One Already?!
I upgraded from Instapot Duo to the Pro. The fact the Instapot Pro has handles makes a world of different. On the Duo it is was a pain pulling the pot out and straining it while hot. On top of that it inner-pot of this "Pro" has a heavy bottom making a great is steel pot, so it just work like a normal pot on the stove top giving me the options in using either the electrical device or on the stove top. When in doubt get the 6 qt, is fits most things for a 1-4 person household (I'd argue even 6). Might not hold a Large whole chicken, but I manage by being able to breakdown a whole chicken (it isn't hard, just watch a video) I cook professionally. But at home the Instapot is the best appliance I've gotten. I make Bean from dried at a fraction of the time, amazing quality fresh stock that doesn't require me to to wait 8 hours on a stove top, it takes the place of crockpot, rice cooker (*), and a normal pot. Stews, Gumbo, Chili, and Braises are done greatly when you are pinch for time making what would normally for 5 hour is only an hour or two and near same quality. Which has saved me during a dinner party where my sous dropped braised short ribs 2 hours before plating. It is an investment but if you eat (or plan to eat) legumes/beans, and you use stock/broth occasionally or consistently in your diet. This will save you some money and time while giving you a better product than store-bought stock/broth and canned beans. Both the beans and stock you make freeze well, and cooked frozen bean reheat/thaw fast. And if you freeze veggie scrap (like onion skin, carrot/parsnip peel, celery tops and bottoms) as well and save bones from you chicken (rotisserie, chicken thigns, or whole chicken) you can make stock with all the stuff you were going to throw way anyway. Better than store bought while also being basically free. Lastly it is great for meal prep and you can set it to have your ingredients in it before leaving to work and being done by the time you get home from work. If you cook consistently for yourself and/or for loved ones, or want to cook more at home. An Instapot makes thing easy at a press of a button, and the Pro has very convent features (like HANDLES I cant praise enough!) that make life much more easy. When you get one you will ask also ask "Why didn't I get one sooner?". I work late nights and early morning, this gives me more time and saves me from eating out. ~*I've mentioned "rice cooker" and I want to expand on this.~ The Instapot works great as a rice cooker but compared to an actual rice cooker, it is a little slower to cook (20min vs 30-35min) and the rice (especially short-grain/sushi rice) builds starch and stick to the stainless steel pot, requiring a slight bit more finesse to clean. I personally eat rice (and grains) consistently and i like saving 10-15min of what little time I have at home, so i have both a cheap rice cooker and instapot. However if you want to minimize your appliances (i.e. have less "appliance clutter") and need to conserve space in your kitchen, then having just an Instapot will work well enough and do every thing a rice cooker can, plus much MUCH more.

So far, I love the versatility and functions of this pressure cooker.
Admittedly, I am a Ninja fan, and have been using a Ninja Foodi OL700 for the last 3 years. I have loved the versatility of this pressure cooker since it has only one lid and functions include Steam and Cook, Broiling, and so much more. Alas, my beloved pressure cooker has been giving me an error message that, according to customer service, indicates the circuit board is going. Although I will continue to use it, I know it is dying and have been on a mission to find a replacement for it. Since the available Ninja Pressure Cookers have 2 lids, I don't want to have to store a separate lid. I did research a number of different pressure cookers and the options they provided, but none of them met my basic requirements. Since Instant Pot is a known and trusted brand, I found this pressure cooker. Granted, it doesn't have all of the functionality I had gotten used to, but it would accomplish most of the tasks of a pressure cooker with the options that are important to me. In my testing, it preheated for both steaming and pressure cooking in about 8 minutes which is faster than others I tested. So, what do I like about this pressure cooker? 1) The stainless steel cooking pot is easy to clean and doesn't stain or wear as the cooking pot provided for the Ninja OL700 pressure cooker. This is a definite plus over the Ninja pressure cooker. 2) The cooking pot has handles for removing the pot from the pressure cooker. This is definitely a plus as most pressure cookers, including Ninja, require heat-resistant gloves to remove the pot from the cooker. 3) The handles on the insert pot also hold the pot in place for stirring. With other cookers, you have to hold the pot with heat-resistant gloves when you stir the contents so that the pot doesn't spin. 4) I use my pressure cooker for steaming vegetables I grow at least 2 times a week. Some of the pressure cookers I found steamed under pressure. This pressure cooker does not steam under pressure. So, a vented glass cover can be used for steaming. This makes cleanup easier as the pressure lid is more difficult to clean and dry than a glass lid. I bought the vented glass lid to use for steaming in this unit. In addition, you don't have to empty or dry the condensation collector when using a lid for steaming since the steam and water stay in the pot. 5) The sauté' mode of this pressure cooker allows selection of multiple levels of heat whereas other have only low or high as options. Since I often make gravy using roast dripping, I have found that low is too low and high boils. Since gravy requires simmering, neither if these options works. I like that I can select the heat level I need with this model. 6) Settings are retained for each function. So, you don't have to reset setting when using the same function multiple time as I do for steaming large batches of veggie greens. 7) Preheats faster than other units I tested. It took about 8 minutes to preheat for both steaming and pressure cooking starting with cold water. I appreciate that I don't have to use preprogrammed settings when I don't need to, and when I do, the settings are easily changed. Overall, I am happy with this pressure cooker. It doesn't have all of the functions my Ninja Pressure Cooker has, but it works for what I need, and it is the best I have found. UPDATE 08/10/25: I have been using this pressure cooker for about 4 months, and use it almost every day and sometimes twice in a day. I have grown to love this pressure cooker even more than my beloved Ninja pressure cooker. It lacks some of the functions of the Ninja unit such as air frying, but I have multiple ovens that air fry. My primary uses for t pressure cooker is for pressure cooking and steaming. The stainless steel pot is so much nicer and easier to clean than the non-stick pots, and it doesn't stain or wear out as the non-stick pots do. For steaming, I have the cover that fits the pot, so I don't have to clean a pressure lid. The handles on the pot prevent the pot from rotating when ingredients are stirred, and facilitate removal of the pot without heat resistant gloves. Multiple levels for the sauté mode are so very useful for making gravy from the drippings of a pressure cooked roasts which are cooked to perfection vs. other methods of cooking. I could go on and on about what I love about this pressure cooker. I can only say, if you are looking for a great pressure cooker with a lot of functionality, this is the one to buy. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Easy to use, great result, and fits perfectly in my kitchen
I was looking for a rice cooker and decided to go with an Instant pot because I wanted something that could cook rice and also other dishes. I’ve owned the instant vortex air fryer from this brand for a long time, and it has been extremely sturdy and reliable. I’ve heard so many good things about instant pot so I already had high expectations, and it did not disappoint. There are many instant pot models, which was a bit confusing at first. Honestly, one of the biggest reasons I chose the pro was the overall design and color. It looks the most premium out of the lineup, and I love the all-black finish. Other models felt a bit dated to me(purely personal preference). The price difference wasn’t significant, and since I didn’t need the wi-fi features of the pro plus, this model felt like the perfect choice. It also matches my instant vortex air fryer perfectly, so I’m happy with how it looks in my kitchen. The inner pot handles might seem like a small detail, but they make a big difference when lifting the pot, and the silicone grip is a nice touch. The built-in lid holder on both sides is another small detail that makes cooking more convenient. The screen is large, and the buttons are intuitive and easy to use. You can save up to 5 favorite settings, which makes frequently cooked meals so easy, just press one button and you’re done. I’m a two-person household and chose the 6 quarts, which is more than enough for us. I mainly use this as a rice cooker, and I’ve also been trying new recipes here and there. Everything has turned out well so far, and it’s been fun experimenting with different dishes. If I had to mention one minor downside, when cooking rice, some sticking can occur at the bottom. Since the inner pot is stainless steel, this seems unavoidable. Adding a spoon of vegetable oil and spreading it across the bottom before adding rice does help, but there can still be slight sticking. After using it regularly for 2 months, The biggest advantage is that I don’t have to stand by the stove and constantly watch over my food, and my kitchen stays clean. Both the inner pot and the lid are dishwasher safe, so the entire process, from cooking to cleanup, feels almost hands-off. That alone makes this a great purchase in my opinion.

Makes real family meals fast and stress free
I use the Instant Pot Pro multiple times a week and it has completely changed how I cook dinners for my family. I can make a full balanced meal in under 30 minutes from start to finish, including chicken, carrots, and potatoes, all in one pot. What I like most is how efficient it is. I prep everything, load it in, set it, and while it cooks I can clean up or do other things instead of standing over the stove. The chicken comes out tender and juicy, the potatoes cook through without turning to mush, and the carrots stay soft but not overcooked. The Pro model feels very well built and easy to use. The controls are straightforward, pressure comes up quickly, and the results are consistent every time. It is especially great for busy weeknights when you still want a real home cooked meal instead of takeout. This is ideal for families, meal prep, or anyone who wants fast cooking without sacrificing quality. If you want one appliance that can handle an entire dinner in one go, this does exactly that. I would absolutely buy it again.

The best multi cooker I’ve ever owned
I have had two other pressure cookers in prior years. The first one was a Presto electric pressure cooker and I had that one for 40 years then then when they came out with the multi cookers, I got an offbrand for Christmas in 2019 and was using it, but was never really satisfied with it. On the America’s test kitchen, I saw them reviewing multi cookers and this one won is being the best. So I got it this year just before Christmas and I have used it six times already. It is so easy to work and it performs wonderfully. I have made spaghetti in it, beef, stroganoff, stew, roast beef, which was to die for, and meatloaf.

Amazing Versatility and Convenience
I absolutely love my Instant Pot! It has made meal prep so much easier and faster. The multiple functions let me cook everything from stews to rice with just one appliance. I especially enjoy making my own yogurt — it's so easy and delicious! Cleanup is a breeze, and the results are always fantastic. Highly recommend!

Perfect for lazy cooks like me or quick dinners with so MANY options!
Okay so I bought this because I wanted quick dinners because I am going to be honest I am lazy. My parents never taught me to cook so I am just adulting trying to figure it all out. This is PERFECT for lazy cooks like me or for fast dinners! I was deciding between this or the rio but I am SO glad I went with this one! It comes out of the box ready to use (other than the obvious plastic wraps and washing before use) and is SO EASY. The first day I got it I tried chicken in it. I wanted to make chicken enchiladas and usually I make this in my crockpot but I didn't have time to wait the 5+ hours it takes to get pull apart shredded juicy chicken so I used this. Let me tell you I did not read the instructions (I did after I made the chicken lol) and it is so easy to figure out I just put it on high pressure for 12 minutes and let me tell you my chicken was JUICY like it had been in the crockpot for hours! I love that it has a reminder too that lets you know when the natural venting is complete (5 or 10 minutes). Now I will say I went past the reminder/timer because I wasn't 100% positive that it had fully released in that time. I love the user interface of this as I am tech savvy but I could see how it might be confusing to those not so tech savvy until they get used to it. As soon as you got used to it though I think you would find it super easy and the ability to customize everything is SO amazing! I also love that it walks you through what part of the cooking process it is on. It has 3 sections with progress bars so you can see where it is like the preheating, cooking, and release. The handles on the pot are a MAJOR plus they have a silicone like cover on them so they do not get hot even after it gets majorly hot. My food has not gotten stuck to the pot yet and I LOVE being able to throw it in the dishwasher and let it do all the cleaning work for me! Having the option to use this on the stove top is major as I like having the least amount of cooking gadgets since I have a smaller kitchen. It is not too heavy and not too bulky in my opinion and I do not have a lot of counter space. I used to have a very old instant pot that was SO bulky but having this new one I much prefer it! I personally would recommend it! Editing to add: So I was making chili in this on the pressure cook option and my seasonings all fell to the bottom and started to burn. This pot literally sensed it was burning and turned off the cooking it was doing and let me know. I thought that was amazing because usually it would be too late but I was actually able to save my chili! I LOVE this pot it was worth EVERY penny!
