This is an excellent product. Originally, I thought that the ultra-micronized PEA would be better for me. Wrong — it hit my sensitive system too hard and did't produce the desired results. I needed to learn more about PEA and switch to ProHealh micronized PEA. For me, I needed a product that would act as a mast cell & neuro-immune buffer. What is it: Palmitoylethanolamide or PEA is a naturally occurring fatty-acid amide made by our bodies s naturally. It’s part of a family called N-acylethanolamines, which are produced “on demand” by cells in response to inflammation, pain, or tissue stress. Think of PEA as one of the body’s self-protective, inflammation-resolving signals rather than a stimulant or drug. It was first studied in the 1950s for pain and immune modulation and has since been researched extensively—especially in Europe—for chronic pain, neuroinflammation, and immune overactivation. Some of its benefits that I am experiencing and expect are: less background pain, less “reactivity” to triggers for MCAS or autoimmune, calmer but not flattened energy, slightly improved sleep, reduces histamine release, acts as a "mast-cell stabilizing lipid mediator', and can turn down inflammatory gene expression. Also, people have used it successfully for neuro-inflammation. The key to success with PEA is starting slow and low. It is extremely safe and well tolerated. It is not a flavonoid or polyphenol (like quercetin, resveratrol, luteolin). It does NOT cause histamine release, blood-thinning, GI irritation, and liver enzyme induction. Since it is endogenous to the body, the positive results will be subtle. I personally have began with 1/3 of a capsule with am and pm meal (PEA is a fat-soluble supplement). I am gradually increasing. I have also been using it with my German Shepherd rescue pup. She had obsessive scratching and other trauma-related signals. Giving her a micro dose to start (68lb, 60-70mg twice daily after or in food) has as helped immensely. This is probably because her past tramua made her hypervigilant and causing mast cell activation and histamine release. This product is a great purity and the potency matches their claim. PEA from ProHealth is a winner for many issues human and canines :)

Seems to be helping with day to day pain. No discernable side effects or drug interactions.

Highly effective. Taken as directed the pain relief has been substantial. The need for ibuprofen (for Ankylosing Spondylitis and Rheumatoid Arthritisthe) taken daily has been reduced from about 1,000-1,200 mg to 600 mg. Recommended product.

Helps with nerve related pain. I take 2 pills three times a day with meals. I also have fibromyalgia. Have not found that it makes me sleepy. People without effect probably not taking a high enough dose.

This is the second bottle I received without an inner seal. I've had to get 2 refunds due to this recurring issue.

I was not sure what to expect from this supplement based on descriptions of the ingredient. I was not sure if I should be taking this supplement as needed for aches and pains likeacetaminophen or daily like a supplement. I have taken it a few times and it didn't really help. I a going to try taking it daily and see what happens. The capsules are what I would expect from a quality supplement. No damaged capsules. No taste or smell when taking the supplement. The manufacturer is one of the only manufacturers I have seen that openly puts the third party testing data out to be seen.
