Excellent product, perfect for recording oral histories, a bargain at the price
A TOTAL BARGAIN - Excellent product, very sensitive and easy to use. Ignore the picture of the smartphone in the advertising graphics - it stands and functions 100% by itself for recording. It acts and functions like a flashdrive that records sound. For our purposes, it had an added advantage - you really need a computer to erase recordings, you can't easily accidentally erase anything. We used ours to get an oral history of her childhood from my aged mother in law. We were afraid we would accidentally lose something if we purchased on of the complicated alternatives, that all had tiny buttons and confusing displays. Its auto record mode shuts on and off automatically, recordings are time-stamped, and you can easily bring them onto your computer for editing with the included USB C cable. It's very small and unintrusive, excellent for our mission. It has a magnetic base, and can be stuck on any steel surface if you wanted to use it as a sound security monitor. There is an earphone/earplug interface, and earplugs with an inline remote control is included, but it is best accessed by a laptop or desktop, that sees it as a USB flash drive.

A Gift for My Wife That Made a World of Difference!!!... 🎁👌
My wife, Dorkys, would sometimes leave her work meetings feeling overwhelmed with so much information, trying to jot it all down. I was looking for a solution and found this recorder to give her as a gift...🎁 Let me tell you, it was a total hit! She absolutely loved it. What she liked most was how incredibly easy it is to use: you literally just hit the red record (REC) button, and that's it. You don't have to mess with any complicated settings... 🎙️📹 She tells me the sound quality is crystal-clear. She places the recorder in the middle of the conference table, and it picks up everyone's voices clearly, without any of that annoying background noise. Since it's so small and discreet, you barely even notice it. Now she comes home much more relaxed. She can listen to her recordings and write down her notes calmly, without worrying about missing a single important detail. It has truly made her job so much easier. If you're looking for a recorder that's good, easy to use, and has great sound, this is the one. Recommended!!! 👌

Great recorder to get ideas out of your head
I couldn’t be happier with this voice recorder. It's smaller than I expected (which is a plus). The audio recordings are high quality even when it's noisy and sees to have good pickup range. I almost always have the TV on and it's not a problem. I use this primarily to take voice noted while working and then play them back later. I find it's more productive than writing everything down. It's very easy to use. Controls are intuitive and makes recording and playback easy. Battery life is excellent and the storage capacity is more than enough. This recorder has become a part of my daily routine.

No screen to restart audio or way to start where left off
Audio is great and so far battery life is good but I cant figure out how to go forward or backwards without completely starting over and there is no screen to see. But if you have hours just to put head phones in and listen then I guess, but I dont like that.

Great for everyday use
This voice recorder definitely comes in handy and it's smaller and more portable than the devices that we used to use back in the day, with the added benefit of not needing to purchase anything extra to be able to use it. With 2,000 hours of available recording time, this little bugger stores quite a bit of information, perfect for the college student that wants to record all of your professor's lectures for a semester or the business professional that wants to keep minutes for a work meeting. The device will even work well for those wanting to do a little spying and/or recording of phone conversations. (Due to it's size and an internal magnet, it can be attached to something metal and small enough to be inconspicuous.) Using the device is relatively simple as well: You charge the device and then slide the button to the "on" mode. That's (mostly) it! Charging the device is simple, as it uses a USB connection, meaning it's rechargeable/doesn't require batteries, which is another plus; and you can achieve a full charge in a couple of hours. For playback, you have the option of downloading the recorded wav files to a computer or you can also listen to them on the included headset. (You can also delete files using your computer and/or headset, too.) This recorder also has a "reset" button, which can be activated by using a paper clip. When you initially set up the device on a computer, you set the device to how you want to use it (more on that in a minute). You can also set a date and time stamp. Probably the that makes this device stand out is the option to set it to activate when it hears a sound, (cutting down on "dead air" space) or you can set it to record continuously. Either way, your recording will come out clear and the volume on the headphones can be adjusted to reflect how loud or soft the recording is. Not that many people would likely use this feature, since most of us likely have cellphones; but, the booklet also mentions the ability to use this device as an MP3 player. That might come in handy if you don't have/want to use your phone or as a much less expensive alternative, especially for little kids to use. (The metal case looks like it could take a bit of abuse.) Overall, this is a solid investment. It's small and portable (see pics), it comes with headphones, adapters, charging cable, and a carry case. (Basically everything that you need to be able to use the device...minus a computer if you choose to store your info that way.) It's also magnetic, so you can (covertly or otherwise) stick wherever there's metal. In addition to this being handy, the option to be able to utilize the device in "voice activated" mode is a game changer! Try it today!

Good performer for quicik audio recording
I purchased this to help record longer conversations where we did not have Zoom or Teams active. The package comes with the audio puck, the USB-c to USB-A charger and data transfer, as well as the dongle to listen to recordings directly from the audio puck. I subjected this to some live tests: at my conference, in a private room with speakers as well as on the show floor during regular show hours. There is only one slide button to power it on (which starts recording immediately) and off (to stop recording) The results were generally good with a few caveats: *In a quiet room, I recorded a couple of conversations. To access the conversations, i first listened with the included dongle plug-in and my headset - no computer. Doing so this way ended up with subpar results - I heard a louder electronic hum / static which sometimes was louder than the conversation (the puck was between 2 ft and 4ft from speakers). I then used the USB-c to A cable to connect to my computer. I have a dual boot ubuntu and WIndows 11 system. In Ubuntu, I could see the files on the drive (in the off position) as .WAV files (not mp3 or other formats). However, WAV playback was not recognized in Ubuntu 22.04 (and could not find a software) but was successful using VLC. Similar situation with Win 11 - the built-in player did not recognized WAV file but VLC did. I then chose to convert to mp3 using VLC, and this worked well, and could now move files via usb drive. Also, following VLC playback and mp3 conversion, the playback was better (no hum) and more intelligible. I then took an advanced step and used Perplexity to try to transcribe the audio upload. It did a decent job, enough for me to create a summary. *Next test case: a noisier environment, the event show floor. As above, files are recorded as WAV and playback was ok, though much more noise from the background of the attendees and discussions. I converted to mp3 and again tried perplexity to parse a transcription. Unfortunately, due to the background noise, Perplexity was not successful in transcribing. So I spent over an hour listening to recordings and manually capturing key notes. There is no AI to help reduce background noise and clean up the rest of the audio, nor is there an app to transcribe. Battery seems to last at least a couple of hours. The audio puck also has a weak magnet so it could attach to the iPhone, but it is weak and if upside down, would fall off.
