This book has everything (and I do mean everything) you need. From setup to programming! This books provides information on operating modes, CTCSS and DCS signal tones, emergency readiness strats, Ham radio operation (including how to get you ham license, NOAA and weather monitoring!!You really can NOT go wrong with this book. There is so much information that I am a bit overwhelmed

Good info, well organized. I use them for emcomm, cheap enough to hand out in emergencies. This is a great manual and usage guide.

Very informative book. Anyone who lives in a disaster-prone area should buy up a Baofeng and learn how to use it. They’re so inexpensive that tips be crazy not to.
