Is this camera suppose to work with Cat5 o5 Cat6? I try to use and other cat6 cables and the camera don't work with that. I saw 60ft cable in the box, but I need wire longer than that.

This DVR works very well, it's PoE which is nice since you just have the one cable to worry about, and also if you want to replace the cameras, or even the DVR you could do that while keeping the all of your cable runs. Everything seems to set up very easily once it's all plugged in though. cameras are clear too

I ordered this in the 12 camera option of this nifty security set - which was honestly probably overboard, when considering I ordered these for home use and not commercial surveillance (lol), but they’ve been fantastic thus far. The only part of the set up that took genuine effort was installing the camera themselves, the rest is cake! I personally didn’t know where to start when installing them so I did have my friend, who happens to be a handyman, help me in the process, which certainly sped it along. It came with the correct number of pieces and there wasn’t anything missing. The picture quality is great and I've been really happy with it thus far!

I've seen a bunch of these different systems and we got to say this one is one of the better ones. You get four cameras that are waterproof and they provide crystal clear images and video. The setup was super easy. You literally plug it in and turn it on! These cameras are POE which is power over ethernet to so you have one cord that provides the ethernet and the power instead of having two separate chords and having to have electricity brought out.At first I wanted wireless cameras until I looked into how easy they are to break into. With these wired cameras it is darn near impossible for anybody to get into your system. So I opted for the wired but went with the POE so it was less wires for us.It really is a great system and anyone can use it.
