In love
With this series ♥️ I started reading over a year ago and this book hadn’t been released yet. I started from the beginning and Lena has done it again. Mysteries, closure, and a lot of steamy action. I can’t wait to move onto the next one!

Wish I was in Outtatowner 😍
After reading the Sullivan's series, I started the King series, and I'm loving it! The quirky town, the characters, the history, the mystery, and the romance are all perfect! I'm curious to read the next book and see where it goes now that a huge part of the mystery...seems solved??? I highly recommend reading this book, series, and The Sullivan's too!Read if you like...- Black Cat/Golden Retriever- "Yes, Sir" + Dom MMC (behind closed doors)- Small-town Romance- Quirky Side Characters- Opposites Attract- Super Steamy Romance- A little mystery with your romance

Obsessed with Royal & Veda 💖
This series by Lena Hendrix keeps getting better with each book. And Royal & Veda's story is by far my favorite yet - there's so much chemistry & the continuation of the King family mystery, I am hooked! The next book can't come soon enough 🔥ᴏᴠᴇʀᴠɪᴇᴡ: ᴠᴇᴅᴀ ʙᴀᴜᴇʀ ʟᴇꜰᴛ ᴄʜɪᴄᴀɢᴏ ꜰᴏʀ ᴏᴜᴛᴛᴀᴛᴏᴡɴᴇʀ ꜰᴏʀ ᴀ ɴᴇᴡ ᴊᴏʙ & ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴄʟᴀɪᴍ ʜᴇʀ ᴄᴏɴꜰɪᴅᴇɴᴄᴇ ɪɴ ʜᴇʀ ᴡᴏʀᴋ. ᴡʜᴀᴛ ꜱʜᴇ ᴅɪᴅɴ'ᴛ ᴇxᴘᴇᴄᴛ ɪꜱ ᴛᴏ ᴍᴇᴇᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴍᴀɴ ꜱʜᴇ'ꜱ ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴀɴᴏɴʏᴍᴏᴜꜱʟʏ ᴄʜᴀᴛᴛɪɴɢ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴏɴʟɪɴᴇ ɪɴ ᴛʜɪꜱ ᴛᴏᴡɴ & ʙᴇ ʜɪʀᴇᴅ ʙʏ ʜɪꜱ ꜰᴀᴍɪʟʏ ᴛᴏ ʜᴇʟᴘ ᴜɴʀᴀᴠᴇʟ ᴛʜᴇɪʀ ꜰᴀᴍɪʟʏ ꜱᴇᴄʀᴇᴛꜱ. ʀᴏʏᴀʟ ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛᴀᴛᴛᴏᴏᴇᴅ, ᴘʟᴀʏꜰᴜʟ, ꜰᴜɴ ᴍᴀɴ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴋɪɴɢ ꜰᴀᴍɪʟʏ. ʜᴇ'ꜱ ᴀ ɢᴏ-ᴡɪᴛʜ-ᴛʜᴇ-ꜰʟᴏᴡ ɢᴜʏ, ᴛʜᴇ ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟᴇᴛᴇ ᴏᴘᴘᴏꜱɪᴛᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴠᴇᴅᴀ'ꜱ ꜱᴛʀᴜᴄᴛᴜʀᴇᴅ ᴡᴀʏꜱ. ᴠᴇᴅᴀ ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇ ᴏɴᴇ ᴀʟᴡᴀʏꜱ ɪɴ ᴄᴏɴᴛʀᴏʟ ᴜɴᴛɪʟ ʀᴏʏᴀʟ ꜱᴛᴀʀᴛꜱ ᴛᴏ ᴘᴜꜱʜ ʜᴇʀ ᴏᴜᴛꜱɪᴅᴇ ᴏꜰ ʜᴇʀ ᴄᴏᴍꜰᴏʀᴛ ᴢᴏɴᴇꜱ. ᴠᴇᴅᴀ ᴍɪɢʜᴛ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ꜱᴛᴀʀᴛᴇᴅ ᴏᴜᴛ ꜱᴇᴛᴛɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴜʟᴇꜱ ʙᴜᴛ ʀᴏʏᴀʟ ɪꜱ ʙʀᴇᴀᴋɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇᴍ ᴏɴᴇ ʙʏ ᴏɴᴇ - ᴀɴᴅ ꜱʜᴇ'ꜱ ʟᴇᴛᴛɪɴɢ ʜɪᴍ...Veda is a fierce, baddie FMC who defines black cat energy. She is looking for redemption after her last job & that determination carries her through the entire plot. Her introduction is hilarious & the "meet-cute" between her & Royal - you could feel the OMG recognition moment. Veda's submission to Royal progresses nicely & the spice between them is something we haven't seen before in this series - some light dom/sub vibes & i'm absolutely here for it!Royal is one of the best golden retrievers, balancing out Veda's black cat perfectly. His secret online persona is such a fun way to get insights into who he is. The way that man falls hard & fast for Veda, showing her exactly what she needs and that he's the man to give it to her - chef's kiss! And the mouth on that man - holy moly, give me more, please. The main plot continues to revolve around the King family mystery and while this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series to understand the background fully. The suspense in this one and the unraveling of some of the big truths kept me on edge until the very end. And it leads us into JP's book which I am so excited for!🐈⬛ Black Cat x Golden Retriever❣️ Romantic Suspense🏡 Small Town⛓️💥 Dom/Sub💻 Secret Online Identities🕵️ Family Mystery✌🏻 Dual POV

Ummmm it was okay
The sexual tension was just not as present in this one. Felt a bit contrived/predictable. A decent read, but not as hot as the former books. If you're into the whole dom/sub thing.... I dunno. It bored me to have yet another dominant male in this patriarchal universe. The topic is just to overdone. Still a huge fan, just disappointed in this one.

Black Cat/Golden Retriever supremacy
4.25 ⭐️ 3 🌶️ROYAL KING 🤴. Dang, these King brothers do not disappoint. Veda is a black cat/fierce FMC and Royal is a cocky, tatted (owns a tattoo shop), golden retriever with BDE. This is book 3 in the King series and it was my most-anticipated read of the series.Veda is a badass corporate lawyer in town working for Royal’s brother, JP. Royal, on the side, is a content creator for an app called Pulse, to which Veda subscribes as Blackcat. When they discover IRL that they know each other, sparks fly but Veda has rules (secret relationship/spicy lessons). The tension is real, and Royal allows Veda to give up some of the control she so tightly holds onto. A soft Dom/Sub action happens (think hand necklace/choke daddy) but Royal still is tender (he literally says ‘you know I like to take care of you’). She gets to be independent and a badass in public but at home/in the bedroom she is his - she doesn’t have to be perfect or make decisions and is enough just the way she is. I think that’s why I love Royal - he doesn’t want to change Veda. ❤️

I needed more emotional connection from Veda
Loved the story in general, but it felt more like a romance-lite. It was more about finishing up the mystery bit from the first two books, with not much time left to get into the emotional relationship between Royal and Veda. Most of the emotion was from Royal. Very little from Veda until the very end. Also, I have no problem with the soft dom sex, but I really would have liked at least one scene of emotional sex. Otherwise, it always feels like a performance rather than a deep connection. But overall, it was well written and moved the story along.

Loved Royal and Veda
At first, I felt a little bored because I was expecting Royal to be one way and he turned out to be even better MMC than I loved.Veda has come to Outtatowner to help the King family, untangle the web their patriarch has created. She also happens to recognize Royal from an app, where he creates spicy content.Their relationship starts as a fun for now thing until he starts to feel more. And as more secrets are uncovered, he plans to fight to keep Veda safe.
