It's a pretty good camera once you get it figured out.
The pros: the auto screen cover is great image is pretty dang good even on a regular white 120" screen. auto focus and auto keystone is nice (but any little movement will cause it to try and rekey. got a stand which did help. Also fixed the camera with a different hanger and that also helped.) audio from HDMI is good auto focus works pretty nice. Good to have on the remote is a bit more "portable" with the gimbal but note the power brick is big and requires 120v so portable is relative here. Works with Home Assistant (gives more control using HA) Cons: Not as bright using just a standard white screen. perhaps a special super reflective screen maybe but i don't have that. a bit washed out with very little light so only use with low light Still aas a hard time trying to fill the screen. I have a very standard 120" screen. Side to side pivot is touchy and if you have Auto recalibrate turned on it will try to readjust the screen Note: No audio output other than HDMI. Able to get around buying a cheap HDMI audio splitter splitter requires additional power to separate audio so if this is an issue be aware. Most features are turned off by default so make sure you take a look High brightness mode (wow the noise the fan makes is unbelievable and would not recommend ever using and the change doesn't seem to be much) Not a fan of the interface, but because it's Android you can sideload apps. Able to completely redesign the interface ..or for less techy, replace using another device like a Firestick

Incredible value Cinema Quality
I have been researching extensively the new line of lifestyle projectors that use the new triple laser technology and decided on the XGIMI (pron. Ex-Jimmy) Horizon S-MAX, coming in at just under the 2K dollar range. Not the most expensive, not the cheapest. I read up on them and decided to lay down my hard earned dollars, and I am glad that I did. First and foremost is the ability to reproduce accurate color, that jumps out at you when it is supposed to and at the same time looks real, not like a cartoon. For instance, I like to see a football field look like a football field, with grass that actually looks like grass, and neon lights that jump out of the screen. I like to see the deep greens of a forest and the yellows of autumn. The deep blues of the ocean and the black of space! I have finally found the projector that can deliver on that wish. Additionally, XGIMI seems to have found a way to eliminate the dreaded " laser speckle " that pops up on almost every other projector available and is quite annoying, by combining a laser with a led light source, I have yet to see the slightest aberration. The quality of the image has actually earned a I-Max certification, so yes, you can tell your friends that you have a I-max theater at home. It also provides Dolby Vision support. Playing 4k content is amazing and the native resolution is 2160, real, not pixel shifted. I am a 3D addict, and this gives the most amazing 3D experience you could imagine. It is like a ride to another world. There is no drop-off in color , brightness and the image is impeccable. It is portable, although I have it mounted up on a shelf on my ceiling in my home theater. I find the separate power brick, and YES, it is a brick, to be a great engineering idea, keeping the power source and its extra heat and potential to induce 60 cycle hum into the internal audio speakers, isolated from the main board. It is easy to mount separate from the projector itself and is equipped with a pretty long power cord. The internal speakers are Harman-Kardon and sound quite good like a good Bluetooth speaker although I have it fed through a AVR with multiple HDMI inputs for 7.1 Dolby, which makes the single HDMI input a non-issue. I also have Netflix available through multiple devices which makes the lack of Netflix support also a non-issue with me. The set up was about 5 minutes, and the color out of the box is amazing. It's pretty much plug and play, as opposed to my last projector, which took about 4 months to dial in a picture which is in no way as good as this ! I have owned many projectors but never any as good as this . I suppose you can spend 5 to 6 K on a projector and it will be as good or better BUT, it will weigh 5 times more and will be 4 times as big !! This one weighs in at about 10 pounds, and looks like a cool little Bluetooth speaker. So, if you are considering this projector, I would say go for it , before the price goes up, you will be amazed. I was, and honestly, I am hard to please ! I am an actual guy who bought this projector and happen to think it is pretty awesome. I am not getting anything in return for writing this, This is my actual honest take on this product. I Love it !!! I highly recommend !!

We ' been using the Horizon S Max 4K Projector for a week now, and I'm blown away by its performance! The 3100 ISO Lumens brightness and IMAX Enhanced technology make it a beast when it comes to delivering crisp and vibrant visuals. The 4K resolution is stunning, and the color accuracy is spot on. I've watched movies, played games, and even streamed content, and the projector has handled everything with ease. The sound quality is decent, but I recommend using an external speaker for a more immersive experience. The Horizon S Max is easy to set up and use, with multiple input options (HDMI, USB, etc.) and a user-friendly interface. The built-in speakers are a nice addition, but as I mentioned earlier, an external speaker will take your experience to the next level. Overall, I'm super impressed with the Horizon S Max 4K Projector. It's a great addition to my home entertainment setup, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality projector.

The product was in good condition and works properly. But the box was open when arrived and the projector was already configured with somebody else account. Im giving only 1 star because I pay for a new product.

I recently purchased the XGIMI X Max Pro, and I am extremely happy with its performance. The picture quality is crystal clear, the brightness is excellent for both day and night use, and the sound is good—but it becomes even better when paired with a soundbar and subwoofer. The setup was very easy, and the overall build quality feels premium. The Netflix app is not working directly, but I think it should work with Airtel Xstream (I haven’t tried it yet). You can also use a separate Chromecast for streaming. It delivers a truly cinematic experience at home. Overall, it’s a very good product and absolutely worth the price! Regarding the service, I’m not sure yet—we’ll have to wait and see.

I bought this product two month ago and writing this review after extensive use of the same....this is my second projector.....therefore I found this projector the best in its class in following aspects... 1) It is very good in its picture quality 2) It's sound quality is enough in itself 3) Due to high lumens value there is no need to deem your room completely and it is excellent to view the same in day light also 4) It is completely value for money after GST discount. In this price this is excellent WOW to grab this projector. It has only one con....It does not have native NETFLIX. I use APPLE tv.. and with this combo it is really. excellent and compatible to use its all potential whatever it has.....At the end as per my experience I may say this is very good projector and it is really the best projector available in the market...

Horizon S Max can be considered as a lifestyle projector means you can carry it around your house from one room to another and have it setup in an instant. It has amazing auto keystone correction as well as auto focus and wall colour adaptation to back it up as a lifestyle projector. It's neither too heavy nor too light so it's definitely not a portable projector. In most cases you would not require wall colour adaptation feature if your wall is plain while or any light colour. This feature sometimes make the colours too warm which doesn't look good. You can always revert back to original colour to see the difference which colour profile you like. Official specs says it can project image upto 200 inches but it's recommended to not go beyond 150 inches for best quality possible. I have only used it upto 133 inches and it works like a charm for me. I don't even rely on auto keystone correction or digital zoom features and try to set it up with these options turned off so I don't lose any picture quality. You wouldn't get deep blacks like OLED TVs but still it looks good. Now it has two main differences from Horizon S Pro, one is IMAX Enhanced and other is more ISO lumens. IMAX Enhanced mode is also a hit and miss like wall colour adaptation feature. If it detects media playing with HDR profile IMAX Enhanced kicks in which gives it the cinematic look, again it is just a personal preference if you like it or not. Having higher lumens is always a nice deal but if you ususally get eye strain or headaches with bright light, it's a safe decision to go for Horizon S Pro. Projector is nicely built with aesthetic looks. If you are planning to keep the projector permanently setup in the open, you'll need to vacuum the ventilation grills every three months or so for dust not to build up inside the projector. Usually, you would never hear the fan sounds from inside the projector while watching movies for hours. Perks of having 3100 ISO lumens is that you can watch content in normal lit room if light is not directly hitting on the wall or screen. It comes with Android TV OS which might feel sluggish sometimes with no native Netflix support so you might need a certified dongle with Netflix app (something like fireTV stick, googleTV stick, apple tv.) I never required any dongle since I don't have Netflix subscription and we can install all other apps directly in Android TV OS of the projector like Prime Videos or JioHotstar.. We can connect PenDrive, SSD or HDD to the USB port and play our local media. It has two ports of USB 2.0 only along with only one HDMI port which is a bummer. I have a Dolby Atmos soundbar which has two HDMI ports so I use them. Yes, you can get Dolby atmos sound output if you connect soundbar to the projector since the port support eARC for Atmos sound. And if your soundbar has additional HDMI input ports you can connect something like fireTV stick to the soundbar. Internal speakers are really good but for cinematic feel, additional sound system is recommended. This projector support 3D content (Side by Side as well as Frame Packing) but we will need active shutter 3D glasses to watch it and we will have to manually select 3D type in projector settings every time we play a 3D content. I'm using XGIMI glasses and they work really great for me. You can play Side by Side content directly from the projector but to run Frame Packing 3D you'll require either a Blu-Ray player or a media box which supports ISO and MVC (like Zidoo Z9X Pro etc.). Frame Packing 3D always runs in Top-Bottom mode for me so I manually select it in 3D settings and it runs better than commecial cinemas. Overall, it's a great projector to consider.
