Perfect travel bag
I've had this bag for a couple of months now and have taken it on several trips including Paris and Barcelona which are known for pickpockets. Even on public transportation, at extremely crowded tourist sites, and dining at outdoor cafes I feel completely secure. The bag is compact but still holds a ton. I was worried that it would be too small to fit everything since I tend to take everything but the kitchen sink with me whenever I leave the house. I can get all of my essentials in there without it being stuffed. I've even managed to jam a cardigan in there in addition to my essentials (it was full to the brim with the cardigan inside). The RFID blocking card and passport slots mean I don't need an additional wallet. There are enough slots for passport, credit cards, insurance card and ID and I put my spending money for the day in a small pouch that I keep in the front zippered pocket along with my phone (this zipper has a lock). Front flap pockets (which don't lock) are good for things like tissues, lip balm, sunscreen and snacks. The back zippered pocket doesn't lock but it sits against your body so you could feel if someone is trying to get in there. This pocket fits an iPad mini or Kindle perfectly. The only issue I've had with this bag is I feel the items in the main part of the bag all fall to the bottom so it can create some bulk at the bottom of the bag. The pockets inside go all the way to the bottom so they don't help with this problem. I feel that a short, horizontal pocket along the top of the bag (mirroring where the front zippered pocket is) would help to keep items more balanced in such a way that the profile of the bag remains slim. This isn't a huge issue however, I just have to do some clever organizing to keep things more vertically aligned. Overall it's a wonderful bag and it's clear Travelon put a lot of thought into the design.

Love the purse
Love the fact that it has pockets so my things stay organized and also that the zippers have like a small carburetor clip on them so no one can open them. Color is on point the purple is beautiful

Safety
So very impressed with this bag - it travelled with me from Paris to Sicily. I felt very secured with it - had plenty of room and was considerably attractive.

Great purse, unsure of ALL safety features.
This purse is great! Everything locks up easily. However, understand that one of the side zippers does NOT have a lock feature. Good place to put snacks while traveling though! Heh. I’m not certain the straps can’t be sliced though. They don’t seem fragile but they can be cut…just probably not quickly. ;) fortunately no one has tried though…

Roomier than it looks, comfortable and looks classy!
First thing I want to say is that I'm not a purse person. I wear a wallet and chain 90% of the time. I started working at a new company that has business dress instead of casual (no jeans) and suit pants don't go with a wallet and chain! I needed a purse, but I wanted something that would be comfortable to wear and carry a few things. I had a small Passport travel wallet that was doubling as a purse, but I really needed a little extra to carry my phone, medicine, feminine hygiene products and the occasional makeup item for when I'm at the office and need to touch up. Lots of little pockets, security, and not too big, but fits so many things! It even has a little light attached inside so you can search your bag in the dark! The main compartment zips open wide allowing you to rifle through the purse more easily, and there are so many little pockets for things. Most of the zips secure to prevent pickpockets, and the bag is designed to be worn across the body, wearing it as a shoulder bag will likely cause it to slip off the shoulder (and isn't very secure as someone can just snatch it).The little touches of someone who actually USES a purse, this had to be designed by a woman. Hahaha. I would say you could easily fit a medium sized handbag worth of items in here, I was surprised! I don't have much to carry, but I wanted to stuff this with everything I can possibly use I could easily fit just for this review: A pair of trouser socks, 3 tampons and 2 slim pads, foundation, compact mirror, blush, blush brush, pressed powder, lip gloss, liquid eyeliner, mascara, small eye shadow compact combo, a small travel hairbrush, my phone, nail clippers, nail polish, two bottles of medicine, small travel container of hair product, small travel bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small bottle of perfume, travel sized container of deodorant, a change of underwear, a sleep mask, a pair of thin knit leggings with a thin knit tunic top, and I would still have the little pockets for other things to slip in there!

Hello awesome bag!
This bag rocks! I took it on my journey to Barcelona, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. After hearing all the talk about pick pockets, slashed bags and ridf scanners, I wanted to be prepared. While my journey was safe and I had no issues, you also need to be smart! Don't leave the bag unattended and lock the pockets when you can. Don't swing the bag over your back where you can't see it either. The bag has a nice lengthy outside pocket with a lock. I used this for my cash as it made for quick and safe access. The two front button pockets close with magnets. I used these for lip gloss, a pocket mirror, ticket stubs, pocket maps and hand sanitizer. The bigger part of the bag has slots for your credit cards, passport, cell phone and two pens. It also has a zippered pocket inside. This bag was not small for me, as some of the other reviews mention but I also don't keep a lot of crap I don't use in my purse. I did fit the necessary items mentioned above plus a rolled up canvas shopping bag, sunglasses and the occasional pastry or bottle of beer. This locks too. It fits plenty! You don't want to carry a ton of stuff while exploring anyways. The back pocket fit my Kindle HD and larger city maps and tickets. The bag is durable, holds up well if a bit of water splashes on it and is comfortable on your shoulder. This travel bag will now become my daily bag. I got brown (see picture). Buy this for peace of mind when traveling, be smart and aware and have an amazing journey!

Like it, don't love it.
I wanted to use this for a while to see if I changed my mind. Unfortunately, I haven't. I like it, but I don't love it. This is my second Travelon bag. I liked the first one and decided I needed something a little bit biger. The good: •Seems well made. It isn't falling apart. Straps seem sturdy. I've been using it for about three months and it still looks like new. (My other one is holding up well, also...no problems) •pretty ample space. Seven pockets...2 snap, 3 zippered (one of the zippered is in front and has the secure clip like the main zipper) •lots of slotted "pockets" for cards, license, hotel key card, etc. • tiny interior flashlight to find stuff in the dark What I don't like: • the feel of the material. It's just a personal texture preference. But I don't care enough to not continue to use the bag. • strap/zipper placement is awkward. The zipper gets blocked by the strap. This would not be so bothersome if it wasn't for the fact that it is still too closed for you to reach in to grab something, but the zipper hits the strap at a very awkward spot. • there are sooooo many slotted pockets. It's a bit much. • the open pockets in the main compartment tend to catch on anything you are trying to put in the bag. I want to be able to slip something in the bag with ease, preferably without being noticed. It's part of the reason I wanted a bag for walking in heavily populated areas. I don't want to be fumbling with stuck zippers, and trying to re-organize the contents. I'm trying to NOT bring attention to myself. Overall, it's a good bag. I don't know that I would recommend this particular bag. However...she's going to get used! I do like my other one and I do like the quality. I will likely try another style from Travelon. (The color is a dark purple. The lighting may look a bit odd in the photos, but it is a solid dark purple. LOVE the color)

Locks helped me feel safer.
great purse for travel. even has a light so you can see what's in the bottom of your purse... Very durable, good size with lots of pockets to keep you organized. Outside pockets lock on one side. Which gives you one that doesn't lock and gives you quick access to items. The material is strong and easy to clean.
