Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is a quality made bread slicer. I make sourdough bread and my husband can't cut an even slice. I tend to cut too thick a slice! I purchased this for him as a joke but it's not a joke. It slices perfectly, easy to adjust, looks lovely on the counter (purchased the cream color) and the price was so reasonable for the quality of the product.

I tested this slicer on a whole baguette, and it worked flawlessly! Baguettes usually have hard crusts, but this slicer handled them with ease. The structure is very sturdy, and the non-slip base ensures total stability while slicing. The hand-crank operation lets me control the pace, and the sharp blades are truly impressive. It’s an excellent choice for both families and small businesses.

I was skeptical it would even work, but I gave this 5 stars. It works well. The solid-built slicer cut nicely and made consistent slices based on the setting I chose. It requires a bit of hand coordination, but that is minor. If I were to advise the designers of this product, I would bring up that the cut bread slices interfere with the rotating handle, which means you have to stop frequently to clear the bread. The other thing is the great suction cup feet used to hold the bread cutter in place while cutting. Regretably, the suction is so good, every time I unstuck the cups and moved the machine, it just got stuck solid to my countertop again. I'm afraid I will eventually ruin the suction cups, and they won't work at all.

I love this bread slicer! Very easy to use. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because after only using it a few times the measurements are coming off right where the bread sits to slice it which means the ink is on the bottom of my bread.

Slicing my sourdough is a breeze! I can slice for our use, and slice for gifting. The "cover" is kind of a let-down since it's thin plastic and the quality is just what would be appropriate for packing and shipping, but it's better than nothing. I use this device 2-4 times a week! And I use the flimsy cover always.

I have been looking at bread slicers since I started baking my own bread about a year ago. I value my fingers more than my wife does as she was not on board for a long time. When I came across this slicer and read the reviews I was pretty sure this was the one. I don't think I have ever seen a more positive review in all the years I been using Amazon and this bread slicer actually performs better than I expected base on the reviews. It is a high quality, well designed, and quite versatile as well. I did a quick test on hard salami and was quite amazed at how well it performed with very thin slices which is how I like my Italian Genoa salami. The size is perfect for a kitchen counter and blends in well not too big! My wife's concern. I really don't think the design could improved for better safety. When not in use you can move the carriage in a simple turn to close access to the cutting blade. Cost wise it is not cheap but you do get what you pay for and I could not be more impressed or satisfied!

Game Changer!I've been making sourdough for a year now and struggled to cut narrow slices. Even sharpening my bread knife didn't help. Thin sandwich slices was never gonna happen. I searched all the different options and bought this. Wow, what a difference. Cuts perfect slices. Slicing is smooth, efficient, and effortless. And less crumbs! We can now enjoy bread or toast that's sliced like those in bakeries! The suction cup legs are awesome. They really grip. I keep the slicer on a wooden cutting board (it does not suction to wood ) on the countertop. Its style vibe is contemporary, yet warm, but it does take up some counter space. It will be great for slicing bagels when I have my large family over for breakfast too. Why didn't I buy this sooner?
