I just switched my inboard boat engine from a manual fuel pump, to an electric one. I wanted to see the pressure generated by the new pump so got this fuel gauge for the job. It’s liquid filled and is working well. I plumbed it into the fuel line between the pump and the carb, so I needed an adapter. If you scroll down to the “Frequently Bought Together” on this page, you’ll find a couple of good alternatives, depending on what size fuel line you’re using. By the way, I would not use standard plumbing teflon tape on the threads – that’s not rated for gasoline. I use Blue Monster tape which isn’t cheap, but it only needs one or two wraps around the threads, so you don’t use much, and it’s so much better, I use it for all my applications B00IJZC9QQ. Nice gauge, easy to read, worth the money.

This style pressure gauge is more for monitoring than it is for any laboratory grade precision. As such this one works fine with a wide variety of materials. The liquid filling in the dial area provide some damping to average out any slight pressure vibrations and given overall average reading. This can be handy with things that vibrate a lot like certain kinds of compressors.
