Great quality and perfect for side sleepers (once it expanded all the way). I have a little back pain since I normally slept on the couch, but this futon is very comfortable and has just the right amount of firmness. I put an old bedsheet over it since it didn’t come with a cover.

I have never been more happy with my bed. It took a couple days to get used to but my back is better than its been in a long time

We bought two twin sized futons for our two sons to use while visiting their grandmothers house. Tired of replacing air mattresses when they get leaks. These mats do offer a high level of comfort, I tried sleeping on them myself. They are an amazing value, I was apprehensive about the quality given the low price, but decided to try them based on reviews. My fears were wrong, they are great.

the mattress looks well made, it’s as thick as advertised, it didn’t take long for it to pop up, though it does need some shaking for it to be fully even.slept on just this mattress on the hard wood floor for two nights, if you sleep on your back, this has the perfect firmness and support, if you’re a side sleeper like me, it’s does have good enough cushion for your hip, depending on how much your hip bone sticks out.for me, I have hip pain on one side of my hip and not the other side, I can sleep on this mattress on my the good side with no problem, it dips enough to contour but is firm and supportive enough so you won’t feel the floor, but my bad side does need a bit more softness and height than this to be fully comfortable.again that’s just for personal reasons, otherwise the mattress would be a lightweight option for floor sleeping, it’s also foldable with its strip sewing design, and very easy to put on fitted sheet.a solution I’ve devised to achieve more cushion and comfort for myself is to buy another reasonably priced floor mattress with a similar design and thickness, if not just slightly softer, to layer on top, that’ll be a perfect floor sleeping setup that still maintains the convenience of changing sheets and moving.in the end, I think this is a good solid mattress for floor sleeping for back & side sleepers if you have no hip problems.

Very happy with this. I can sleep comfortably on this. Does take up space. We put ours behind tv stand. Won't stay folded unless stuffed in-between.

This Japanese mattress is incredibly comfortable and the sizing is just right. We love it and it’s made a big difference in our comfort. Highly recommend!

This mattress is quite handy, whenever you have guests over at your place to spend the night and you don't want them sleeping on the couch.

Mixed feelings on this one, but going with 3-stars because ultimately this is not nearly as thick as what is pictured, and for that reason when the item was delivered I was immediately disappointed. In the pictures it looks like a good 3 inches of thickness, and based on the description I'm led to believe this is 3+ inches of a mix of soft and dense foam. But when it came, it was maybe half that. But we needed it, and now, so we went with it.This was meant to go on top of our sofa bed, which is cushiony but less than comfortable. I will admit, when this was on the sofa bed, the comfort level was much improved, to the point where I could sleep on it night after night and remain comfortable.So it did it's job, even if the thickness was not as I expected. But do I think it would be comfortable had I laid this on the bare hardwood floor, or on any other hard surface? No.
