Have used the energel pens before and do like them. The Energel X uses the same ink, but the body reminded me of the Pilot G2 gel pens as well except these are smoother to write with ( no offense to the G2. They are still great.). The X feels a bit grippier than the regular energel pens you see at the store. Will be buying more in the future!

So far, I love writing with these pens. I took a chance and purchased them in black and red to use for work. I've used Pentel Energel pens in the past and I completely forgot about them until I borrowed my coworker's Pentel Energel. I decided to get this brand figuring it would work the same and it does. Writing with these is so smooth and effortless. And I love how quickly they dry. The best part is that they don't skip when I write something on a Post-it note like other gel pens.

I am obsessed with these pens, they are all I use at work. The write very smooth and the blue ink stands out against black print. I have to guard them because everyone comments on how nice they are and then try and walk off with them!

Clear, easy to read ink, in a bright deep blue; the pens don't clog, they write smoothly. Good price, too.

I am giving this order 2 stars because the packaging of the pens was damaged and a bit dirty. Pens work fine but the packaging for the pens was damaged and not very clean.

I'm a lefty, so I thought I'd give this a try as I needed a new pen for doing the puzzles in the newspaper. I'm picky about pens because I like how it feels when I'm working through the puzzle or writing notes. I also tend to write neater when a pen writes a certain way. My husband is a righty and he used this pen to make his grocery list. Yet his writing was smudged -- something that doesn't happen with ballpoint pens. I now know I prefer ballpoint pens to gel pens. Gel pens write softer with ink gently spilling out as you write. Ballpoint pens roll and make a dent in the paper. This is a matter of preference and I didn't reflect it in the rating. Rather, the rating is based on the pen's performance and smearing is a big problem. The company says this pen has "fast-drying ink" and that's not the case here. It works well and the ink shows clearly from the first contact with the paper. (You know how some pens need a little nudge before they wake up. This one doesn't.)
