Amazing Little Device
I bought this item primarily because my husband has walking problems due to MS, including drop foot. It causes degenerative weakness of the muscles in his lower legs and a pronounced limp. I figured I could try it on my own persistent back pain too. I had heard that an electrical stimulation device is good for restoring muscle strength, if used at the right frequencies. At first we tried finding a good physical therapist willing to try it but were unable to find one close by. Plus my husband was hesitant. He's just not as aggressive as I am in searching out options, and I think the idea of giving himself a shock didn't sound too appealing. I was aware that this device is primarily marketed for only pain relief but the cost was so low I decided to start here. So I bought it as a way to show him that the shock wouldn't be uncomfortable and to see if it might even be effective. After years of nothing aside from diet yielding any improvement at all, this approach seems to be working very well. We have been very surprised and happy at the results. It arrived quickly, charged up in a few hours, and the instructions were easy to follow. We use it every other day along with regular massage for muscle cramps, alternating with regular physical therapy exercises on the off days. We use both the back and neck settings on his lower legs, strength level is around 10 to 15. These seem to be the most effective settings for causing the muscle contractions in his lower legs that we're looking for, without being uncomfortable. At first we could see some movement in the right leg but none in the left, his weakest leg, and kept adjusting the settings. After a few weeks, viola, movement. When we first noticed it, it was like little butterfly movement in the left toes. Now it is obvious these muscles are contracting, with the ankle and toes moving back about 1/2 inch or so in a regular rhythm. This doesn't sound like much, but believe me, it is. We were guinea-pigging him for two years on three bankrupting pharmaceutical regimens and various exercises for which the best hope was that he wouldn't get worse. He got worse anyway. Any actual increase in movement and strength is huge news. Because the main unit is only about the size of a cell phone and delivers a shock strong enough to contract the muscles pretty thoroughly, I assumed I would have to charge every few days at least, but no. Maybe once every four weeks so far, using it for 20-40 minutes every day or every other. I recharged it for the first time just recently. I'm an amateur at this sort of DIY home therapy, it's all trial and error and I am in no way qualified to offer our experience as a medical recommendation. I don't even think this is the type of usage this product is offered for, I think it's strictly for pain relief - which is does well in my experience, with my old cracked spine bones and whiplash injuries. But to watch my husband's severe MS-caused weakness improve even just a tiny bit? that is reason to rejoice. We're very pleased with this amazing little thing.

Great product, recommend to everybody!
HI everybody, I am a 42 year old male who has severe restless leg syndrome. I have seen some people got well from rls using this tens machine. There was this research guy who showed us where to put the pads on our body, which he describes as the pressure points. We were getting treatment 3 times a week. After 3 months 6 out of 9 patients got well, they were saying they don't have the rls symptoms anymore. I personally got better %50. Now I did some more research on this and found out that there are some studies about neurostimulation for restless leg syndrome. Here is the link for the webinar for those who are interested: https://youtu.be/i-U9tcACN3U I am almost sure this stimulation with the tens unit has something to do with the activity of the brain causing the uncomfortable sensations. The million dollar question is; where to apply the pads? I don't quite remember where we put the pads during the treatment a few years ago. But when I looked at the "acupuncture treatment points guide" the brochure comes with the Nue Medics tens unit, I definitely can say that we were putting the pads on numbers: 89,92,23 and 58 at calf area. 25 and under big toe on foot. Also around the spinal cord I have some pictures of it. The new studies are promising, I hope one day soon they will identify the points to stimulate and whoever is suffering from rls gets better. If you are considering about buying a tense machine, I strongly recommend this Nue Medics brand. It has a very stylish box reminds me of an iPhone box, its very compact, easy to travel with. Pads are sticking very well (I advise to clean the area before applying the pad in order to get more life out of them eventually they wear.) It is also very easy to operate, it has several modes to chose from, I personally find the "tap" mode most effective for stimulating the nerves. Overall this Nue Medics tense unit is a bargain with the 15%off coupon, highly recommend.
