Works as we intended
We recently purchased a 2-flat. Along with it came a billion keys. Along with the renovation came a billion new keys. It was getting hard to keep them all straight. Front main door, front door of unit 1, front door of unit 2, front door of the basement....you get the idea. I was looking for something simple to organize all these keys, especially as we changed all the locks and added additional locks. They are paper, they won't last forever. You might not want to organize keys you use on a daily basis with these, but most of the keys we were labeling we just keep in a drawer in the event we need a spare. I liked the different colors as it just helps keep them from all blurring into a big pile of keys. If I had been cleaver I could have utilized the different colors for organization: Red for floor 1, white for floor 2 etc. I wasn't. Its not that big of a deal for me to go back and re-do them.Probably most importantly I find the key "rings" to be durable enough, without being too strong that they are difficult to "open" to put keys on. Again, they might not be strong enough for regular, daily, rough use. But they are certainly strong enough for storing spare keys in a drawer.

Durable, Functional, Low-Priced, and Pleasing To The Eyes
These key tags are very nice because of the ease of writing on them with either a simple pencil, pen or magic marker, the metal rim around the paper center which makes them much more durable, and the variety of color is pleasing to the eye as well. The small split rings are not elaborate, but they are functional and at least as durable as the key tags, and the cost was low, which was also a very big plus!

Don't get them wet.
Great solution to organizing/identifying keys. I attached to each set of keys for the dozers, tractors, backhoes and buildings ...work great. The paper w/n the metal ring should be kept dry!!! Would have been super nice if the paper was a plastic-like material and could withstand getting wet.

Lots of tagging uses
I use these for way more than just keys (zip up storage cases, clothes hanger tags). Kinda pricey but reasonably durable and reusable.

Perfect to ID USB memory sticks
I have been using and working with computers over 50 years. So these last years the USB Memory stick has become a favorite way to store, transfer, exchange data. My problem is, How to easily identify what is on a memory stick. These tags work great to add a label or means to simply know whats on the stick.

Good Value
I use these as name tags for my son's coats and backpack. They have been on there for several months now and going strong. Knowing they are made of paper, I figured they wouldn't last too long, but I've been surprised at how sturdy they are. I'm not going to recommend soaking them in water, but they are very visible and not one has been lost or broken yet, and my son hasn't lost any more coats.

Not just for keys!
Yes, I use these for all the miscellaneous keys you have on an average farm: Various outbuildings, all kinds of power equipment, padlocks on this and that. I'd go crazy without these tags on all the keys. I use the color codes for types of locks: White for buildings, red for gas powered tillers, mowers, etc., green for others. These tags are the most durable tags for the money I've ever found. They are built to last without costing a whole lot. Avery is the best at making all kinds of computer labels, and they do a fine job with these as well.Well, one day I was swimming through the rat's nest of wires behind my computer/ham radio/hobby desk, and as despairing about the sheer volume of AC adapter plugs. Many of them are the same physical size, but different voltages and polarities. It's a disaster, and maybe a house fire, waiting to happen. Brain storm! I now tag every one of my power supply leads. I write the item it powers, the voltage and polarity. i.e., police scanner/12 volts/positive tip would be (SCANNER/12V/+TIP) in short hand. Viola! No more wire confusion behind my desk. If someone accidentally unplugs some leads, it's a quick task to reconnect everything with full confidence that it is done right!Best regards,John Price

Just fine.
These are good quality. The ring is heavy enough. The cardboard and metal rim arestrong enough. The cardboard is easy to write on. They're about the right size. They don't tangle together when you put them into a bag.My only complaint is the red is a little too dark -- this makes the writing a bithard to see.
