This mount is solid aluminum, lightweight and fits my needs perfectly. It folds up nice and tight and stores easily in almost any pocket. I ordered this to replace an older, plastic, MagSafe mount which cracked on its base after I tightened it too much, rendering it unusable -- and I have not been disappointed with this fantastic replacement! I have a super-lightweight camera tripod that I want to take on an Alaskan cruise later this year (great glacier video from my balcony) and thought I could just mount it on the 1/4" thread after removing the ball head, but that limited its rotational functionality, so I finally figured I could actually mount it to the quick release plate (also with a 1/4" thread on top) and retain full functionality, albeit with a bit more phone maneuvering due to the phone's tall size and the mounting thread in the center of the plate. I like how I can store this tripod mount on that quick release plate and glide it right into place when ready to shoot (I am not taking a DSLR with me due to size and weight). I also like how I can now use the tripod's pan/tilt control to take panoramic photos on my iPhone, without having to worry about staying on that blasted horizontal line when holding and rotating it manually. This is a fully functional and useful tripod mount and its strong magnet snaps onto my iPhone 17 Pro Max with gusto, holding it securely in place.

This Elitehood magnetic phone tripod mount is an excellent product that works exactly as advertised. The MagSafe magnet is very strong and holds my iPhone securely without any slipping, even when I move the tripod around. The aluminum build feels solid and high quality, not cheap or flimsy, which gives me confidence using it for videos and photos. It’s easy to attach and remove the phone, saving time when setting up.

Solid build. Very strong magnet. I have an iPhone 15 Pro with magsafe case and it’s a very solid feel. The 1/4 20 attachment works well with my tripod mounts. The two hinges aren’t adjustable but are stiff enough not to move while the phone is attached but not so stiff that you can’t move them when you want. Just right. Hopefully they won’t loosen up from use.

Needed something to hold my phone at a good viewing angle on my desk, but also liked the option to mount it to my camera as well. My camera has an app I can use for live monitoring, so using this mount with my phone gives me a much larger and clearer screen for shooting. Being dual function makes it very versatile. The joints are very stiff, which is good. I have an iPhone 17 pro max and it is very sturdy and holds it without moving. It has a decent weight to it, being that it is all metal. The screw for the shoe mount spins smoothly making it easy to install. Definitely a great value at this price.

The construction is all solid metal and sturdy - the magnet could be stronger, but it's strong enough I guess. Will likely use for a desk stand. There is a much cheaper model on here with a stronger magnet that you can add a cold shoe to easy enough - I reviewed that one as well.

I don’t review many products but this is GREAT and works perfectly. I’ve been taking some online classes for the past couple years that require videos and I’m only upset that it took me this long to find this product! The Arca-compatible base is narrow but does lock in securely to an Arca-Swiss clamp, and the thread allows it to be screwed into a full-size Arca plate if you want a bit more security. The magnet is plenty strong and holds my iPhone 12 exactly as needed. It’s way smaller than I thought it would be in pictures so very easy to bring everywhere needed. I literally could not be happier with this product. I will say I only use this for tripod mounting my phone for static videos, I am not trying to use this in a more dynamic setting that could test the magnet connection more.
