I needed a humidifier for my plants and have returned and/or thrown out a lot of them in the past two years. I started with the diffuser type and 1, they don't hold a lot of water and 2, it's difficult to clean out the scale that forms at the bottom. The only advantage is you can add essential oils to the diffusers but that gets messy and oily in the reservoir.I bought this humidifier because I use an essential oil only diffuser (no water) now. All I really needed was for my plants to get humidity. I live in the desert so it's very dry. When the central air or heat is on it further dries out the air.What I really like about this humidifier , besides the good price, is that it holds a lot of water and runs non-stop until it runs out of water.These are a couple of lessons I've learned about this humidifier this week.(1) If you don't set the timer it will run continuously until the water runs out.(2) When you fill the tank don't let any water go down the center hole where the mist comes out. Only fill the removable tank. I filled the tank and no mist came out. I removed the tank and dumped the water. The whole bottom under the tank was filled with water. There was no place for the mist to go. It was a very wet experience but now I use a step stool(the humidifier sits on the back of the top shelf of a cabinet), to fill the tank once a day.I set it on high and it runs for more than 15 hours.It does make a slight humming noise but it's probably more of a vibration on the shelf. I imagine that on a counter top it would probably hardly vibrate at all.As an added bonus, the humidity is great for my sinuses during allergy season.

This humidifier works great! Let's start with how easy it is to set up! The directions were easy to follow. There is virtually no noise when the machine is running. It is extremely quiet. The steam is actually like a cool mist. Regardless, the machine releases a great amount of must. The water tank has a max fuel line, and is very easy to fill. Cleaning is a breeze! The sleep mode is a blessing and actually works.

Firstly, this humidifier is not that large and I'd say it would be best used in a small room no larger than 10ft x 10ft. In my case it has functioned well, but noticed when testing it in a larger space 20 x 15ft room, it barely added 1-2% to relative humidity of the room. The unit has a built-in digital humidity monitor, but I also compared it to home sensors to make sure I had accurate readings. It took a few hours of running for the humidifier to equalize with my other other sensor readings... at first the unit was reading incorrect numbers.The different speeds function correctly, the timer works as well, it also has a little light that you can have on or off. So far I'd say I get around 8 hours of use with a full tank on high settings before I need to add more water. It's is very quiet when in operation, hardly hear anything from it other than an occasional burp/crackle sound from the water. The unit also seems to remain cool to the touch on the outside, which is great.Overall, this seems to be a good value for a smaller room, but if you plan on using it in say, a living room or basement, you should probably look into larger units.

Used the Little Machine last night and this morning I can say it was the best nights sleep in a very long time. My eyes didn't dry out watching TV, i have it pointed right at me.I REALLY LOVE THIS LITTLE THING

Just got my cute little humidifier overnight delivery (thank you Amazon). My little 5lb yorkie has picked up a sinus infection & allergies too I think. Has very runny nose & eyes, panting poor thing. And I have rather severe Shogrens which causes wicked dry eyes & mouth. Been going through whole bottle of eye drops and whole bottles of water every night. (TMI I’m sorry.) Just wanted to tell you this humidifier is perfect, even right on bedside table, is extremely quiet, and has a very dim tiny nightlight. I love the three mist settings plus timer settings including an automatic setting. Really hoping this gives my Lil Miss some nasal relief, and I already love the relief Im getting after just a few hrs. Il update later with pics. She’s sleeping under covers now, but was licking the misty air earlier. I picked this one especially because you can lift the whole lid off and easily clean every bit of the inside, so no scale, scum, or mold. Which is so important to me. And only $20 bucks! Quite a deal. Does not feel cheaply made either. (There are other small units on the market, but not many have lid that comes off for easy pour and easy access.) Did not work exactly as it states. I had to pull the instructions out a few times to make sure I was doing it right, definitely not easy to use. The water capacity is small so make sure you are ready to fill everyday.
