As far as Toothbrushes go I’ve typically been using the generic plastic ones. However, in the past 8 months I’ve been aiming to make a difference in my day to day plastic use. I first found Biomboo by chance however, they have not let me down. I am looking forward to using these as time progresses. Especially as they are so eco-friendly and affordable as a pack, setting me up for the next 12 months. This is a truly amazing brand and I look forward to the future developments within this company.

I wear braces, so I get through toothbrushes perhaps more frequently than most. One issue I’ve had has a been reaching my back teeth with braces on, so I tried these after a friend recommended them to me and so far, so good. The head of the brush is smaller than I’m used to and the bristles are softer so they really get to the back of my mouth and I can feel the difference in cleanliness all round. They seem resilient - no stray bristles yet - and it has to be said that they also look cool in my minimalist bathroom. The environmentally friendly aspect of these brushes also appealed, so I guess everyone wins. Impressed so far.

The toothbrushes came in all recycled packaging including the outer bag. I do not know why other reviews say the packaging was not recyclable because mine was! The toothbrushes are well presented and come in their own individual cardboard boxes which is very good hygiene wise if you're storing the others away as spares. The toothbrushes are good quality and sit nicely in the hand. I was a little disappointed with the bristles because it says medium firmness but I would consider them quite soft (hence 5 star on the softness) and I prefer harder bristles to feel like I'm getting a good clean. I would bear this in mind when purchasing if you usually buy medium bristle toothbrushes as these may not be for you. I will still use them as they are not terrible and still do the job. But they almost tickle the inside of my mouth which is a very weird feeling! The only other thing I would say is that the toothbrushes are all the same colour and so if you are intending on using them as a family or have your partner use one, you will not be able to tell them apart as they are.

Like many I was looking for an alternative to plastic toothbrushes as I'm trying to cut down on my plastic use. So far these have been brilliant - really affordable, good toothbrush. The bristles aren't to hard on my gums - but not to soft either. Would definitely recommend to someone wanting to replace their plastic tooth brush.

I have been using this for a few days now, and I am very pleased with it. The handle slots neatly into the toothbrush holder in the bathroom and is comfortable to hold. The brush head cleans effectively and the bristles are an ideal 'medium' hardness - they clean efficiently, but are suitable gentle on the gums. The relatively small brush head means that this toothbrush would be suitable for children as well as adults. In the fight-back against plastic, this product is a small, but useful, step as it is totally recyclable and biodegradable. My old plastic toothbrush has been re-purposed as a bathroom tile grout cleaner.
