Mountain Creek Woodworks is proud to present The Derby Tack Trunk. This trunk is 100% USA, handmade in a barn in North Georgia. Constructed of 3/4" Oak ply, trimmed out in solid Oak and finished in clear-coated black paint. Much attention to detail and fine craftsmanship has gone into the building of this piece. The lid is securely fastened to the chest with 4 steel hinges for added strength and is supported in the open position by a gas shock. Since these tack trunks contain valuable tools and accessories, we have included a locking hasp to keep the trunk secure. The trunk is equipped with handles on each end for carrying ease. Functionality is of the utmost importance so we have included removable tool tote and document tray as standard features. These are usually costly upgrades with other tack trunks on the market.
