Wow, what can I say! I was very sceptical about getting a robot vacuum but I am so glad I did.After a lot of research I decided on the Tapo RV30 due to its low price (compared to others) and plentiful features.We have hard flooring throughout the downstairs of the property and with 2 kids have to clean the floors at least twice a day. Now with this little gadget our floors have never been so clean.I found setup very easy, download the app to my phone and followed the instructions. Within 15 mins from unboxing the device had mapped out the ground floor of my property, it even divided the rooms correctly without any input from myself.The rooms were divided and numbered but I was able to change the name of each room in the app. From this point I was able to start cleaning. It took a couple of minutes working through the app to find out the different settings but after this I was able to see what the vacuum was really able to do.I can select individual rooms to clean or choose to do all rooms and pick what order to complete.Further settings I can choose the power of the suction (low to high), mop on or off and if On the level of water used (low to high) and how many times the vacuum will go over the room (one two or three times). All of this can be individually set for each room which is great. The mop is good with a low setting for laminate flooring and a higher setting for Lino floor. The power of this vacuum is enough to pick up hair, dust and crumbs with ease.There is an option to set a schedule but I have not done this as I prefer to have the vacuum clean when I require it.This is a great product and has exceeded my expectations. Overall I am really pleased with the purchase.

I don't usually leave reviews at all, but with this vacuum, I had to come and leave one. Although when I first received the device, i went through some teething problems with setting it up, mainly that the mapping wasn't great. It was cleaning the same room/parts of the room continuously without moving on. I figured this came down to me putting a dock by the side of my couch between it and wall. Once i moved it to my hallway, where it has plenty of space, i found it has worked amazingly. The app i find to be easy to use and intuitive enough. As a self-proclaimed neat freak, i wasn't expecting much and expected to go over it again with a handheld vacuum; however, i have been so surprised at just how great it is! The suction is amazing, some of my carpets are stubborn even with my cordless vacuum, but this little robot vacuum manages to clean up everything. I think one of my favourite features is that you can personalise how it cleans in terms of how many times you want it to go round a room. For me, this setting makes all the difference because i know it's going through everything. I wouldn't say everything is perfect, but I live in a 1-bed flat in London, so there's not a whole lot of space and some things like my desk, chair and desk are tightly bound together, so I actually think it does a good job of obstacle-avoiding. The only time it's gotten stuck is when I've missed a piece of wrapping paper on the floor and it gets tangled in it, which is understandable, as the same would happen with a handheld vacuum. Something I was worried about, which was my primary reason for getting this, was how it handles hair, and it works perfectly. I have a strong dislike for hair strands anywhere in my house, so sending the robot vacuum through the house every 2/3 nights or so has been great, and I haven't had any issues with suction. It leaves everything looking CLEA,N which i love.The mopping function I find to be really good too, I use the 'Room' function on the app to set up routines so it mops my hallway, then my bathroom. My floors look really clean throughout the week, and not having to do mini-cleans every 2/3 days has been a huge game-changer. By no means do I think this can replace a deep clean, especially since you can't put floor cleaning liquids into the tank (as advised!), but I think it fills in the gaps between the weekend cleans for me, which is amazing.The only two downsides, which I don't think is worth rating it down for, given the amazing value you get for such a low price range for this type of tech, is that it doesn't come with replacements for the mop, so you only have one. Finding replacements I didn't feel was super easy as there's none on the official Tapo website and most on Amazon have poor ratings, but I managed to find a set which gave extra mop clothes, bag replacements, and an additional brush all for around £9.99, which is decent. The second downside is that it sometimes isn't the brightest when it comes to getting itself back to the docking station. I would say about 70% of the time it's been fine if I just leave it and walk away; however, sometimes I can see it going in the opposite direction of the dock and spinning around looking for it, even if it was right next to it in the first place. A few times, I've had to pick it and put it back myself, but I don't mind that, given the price I paid, I think they've done a good job with what they've built. I can imagine if you paid £500+ for one, you would have better sensors etc but this does just fine for the price.Overall, i love it, would and have recommended it to my family and friends!

The media could not be loaded. This is an awesome little robot hoover. It maps the floor rapidly, it does a great job, within 1 day we’re firm fans having been sceptical if we needed one before (I bought this impulsively on a good deal) lol and it seems a great move.The app is great and easy to use, I have setup zones for daily a scheduled cleaning, excluded a couple of places, setup routines for Alexa so we can ask for a cleanup up on demand.Also, this device can map 3 floor plans from the same base, so I have the upstairs mapped already and it has been hoovered saving time and effort.I’m a fan of Tapo equipment, I’ve got a lot of their plugs and bulbs, they work well, the app is good, Alexa integrated is flawless.Oh, we have a mix of Lino, carpet, rugs and it copes with it all, it detects carpet and ups the boost for a great clean.

The good part is that I like this vacuum so far. It has good battery life and does a decent job at cleaning. I haven’t tried the mopping feature yet, but it looks good in black. The self-emptying function also works well.However, there’s a major oversight when it comes to setting up and cleaning more than one floor. You can map up to three floors, but you’ll need to move the dock at the same time. So, if you want to quickly clean another floor, you can’t just take the vacuum. Once it’s finished cleaning, it will wobble for 15 minutes trying to find the dock on another floor, bumping into walls and getting confused. The only option then is to manually stop the cleaning. This is a huge oversight, and it’s a shame that the engineering team won’t be fixing this issue. The Tapo forum also suggests that this problem won’t be resolved.Edit: once you’ve mapped another floor, you don’t need the move the dock obviously. You can vacuum another floor but it will get confused and just say “can’t find dock” once it’s finished as the dock is locator on another floor.
