I use instead of cheesecloth
You can use muslin fabric for many uses - I use it in lieu of cheesecloth for making foods and drinks and filtering out herbs, seeds, or large pieces that I just don't want in there. Rather than buy and toss cheesecloth after a single use, muslin works just as well (layer it) and it can be washed and reused - so there is less waste and in the end it costs much less. This was much more than I'd ever need - but the price is right and I can and have given some to friends.

Good fabric for my use.
I used this muslin fabric as the inner lining for face masks back in April when I was learning how to sew masks. It goes through my sewing machine easily and is very breathable. Best for use on days when you need to go out but do not have direct face-to-face contact with others. Just keep in mind the filtration efficiency would be very low with this since it such a loose weave (indicative of muslin).

Excellent!
Very lightweight and soft, yet strong fabric. Purchased this to cover teepees we made for fur-kids and worked out wonderfully, until the chewing of the teepees started. Fabric is actually still holding up very well! Also, needed to change my order after realizing I had ordered a bit much and I was credited back part of payment , even though my order had already shipped. Customer service was quick and considerate! Very much appreciated and will definitely purchase again..when it's time for new puppy tepees!

Decent Unbleached Muslin
This is a two-yard cut of unbleached muslin. If you're not aware, unbleached muslin is a plain, moderate-quality cotton that is a dark ivory or ecru color. Usually it's speckled with darker brown flecks. It's not really something you'd want to make a garment out of, but it's excellent for mockups. I go through yards and yards of unbleached muslin, stocking up whenever it goes on sale at the local fabric store, because it's my habit to sew a mockup of everything I make. Sewing a test version of the pattern, using cheap fabric, allows me to make sure of the size and fit before I cut into my good fabric. I insist that my sewing students make mockups, as well---not only to make sure the pattern fits properly, but also to practice any new or difficult sewing techniques the pattern calls for. You don't want to make mistakes with your more expensive fabric! I bought this muslin because it was a fair price and I was running low. As others have mentioned, it's a bit short of two yards, so if you're making a specific project where yardage is important, you'll need to order extra. Otherwise, it's a perfectly serviceable unbleached muslin. Four stars, because it's slightly less fabric than advertised, but otherwise, I'd recommend this to any and all sewers and crafters.

Buy this instead of a pressing cloth.
This is the type of thing that a sewer needs in their arsenal of things to have. A must have for a professional look with ironing and protect the fabric. Just buy this instead of cloth that states it is "ironing cloth" as they cost a ridiculous amount of money and a lot of them are made from mesh and not cotton so they melt at high heat and ALWAYS leave impressions. Another idea is use a cotton pillow case, or buy one at a discount store. I just did not have one to use. This is also sheer enough to see though somewhat, so a perfect substitute.

Great stuff
I used a piece to strain grapes for grape jelly and tea. It did an excellent job in both cases with no sediment. I washed the one I used to strain tea and there were no stains at all. I threw the grape one away. No way that was going to get clean. I like this better than the straining bags you would use for nuts and things like that. Those are iffy at best and most are poorly made. This muslin does an excellent job at straining and does not get clogged. And you can wash and reuse them. That makes them eco friendly in my book.

An unusual amount of sizing
I purchased this fabric to dye for needlework. To prepare it, I did a hot-water soak with synthropol textile detergent and rinsed it out. At this point it felt slightly slimy, and I suspect I didn't manage to get the sizing out. The fabric had an unusually high amount of sizing in it, so much so that it repelled the dye. Here's a pic of a piece hand-washed and then dried. Even after the hot water soak, there was so much sizing in this fabric it stands up by itself! So anyone crafting or sewing with it should be aware of that characteristic, and plan to run in through the washing machine (maybe a few times) to prep it unless you want it stiff.

Just what we needed. Arrived fast. Great value.
This has been great. It came relatively fast abd just what we were looking for to do embroidery with. It is a little hard to get a perfect iron job on after stitching on it, but it really just adds character to the art piece. Not a huge downfall for our purpose. When it runs out, I'm getting more for our daughter to encourage her creativity.
