Does the Job
I thought this product was good quality and does the job. Had read other reviews of people complaining about it leaving water in the bottom when they strain but haven't had a problem...just give it a little shake during the straining process and water drains fine. It looks nice and works well. Only complaint I might see is that it's a little shallow, perfect for the amount of food I cood for a family of 3, but for anyone cooking for a larger family you may need to get something bigger.

Does the Job
It does what it's supposed to do. The only reservation I have about it is that the handles and base are not on with grommets. I once had a handle fall off of another colander when I was draining spaghetti and the pasta wound up in the sink. Hopefully that won't happen with this. For the price, though, you can't go wrong.

Doesn't Drain Completely
I bought this item based on the reviews I read on Amazon about it. It is a nice stainless steel colander to look at, and is lightweight. The thing I need it to do, however, it doesn't do, namely, DRAIN. The holes are so small and close together that it only drains to a certain point, and then the surface tension of the water plugs the holes and there is a puddle of water at the bottom. So the lettuce or whatever is still floating!! My husband says he'll drill out the holes "one of these days". So meanwhile, this thing is hanging in my kitchen, nice to look at. Bummer!

Good Colander.
Somewhat shallower than the last two I've had, but I disagree with other reviews saying this doesn't drain quickly enough. Pour pasta in, swirl it around and I haven't had any standing water left in mine. The bottom is spot welded on, so I can see a potential for that rusting after a while, but I've had mine for two months now and it works just like a colander should.

Good colander, needs more holes on the bottom.
It works fine as a colander. One of the common negative feedback responses for this colander is that there aren't enough holes on the bottom - and it's completely true. It's hard to drain all of the water out of the pasta with the few holes on the bottom.

I like it!
This is from India, I favor stainless from India, I find that it is usually a little rough but well made and does not usually rust like stainless from places like Korea. Don't know why just my personal observation. This particular colander is lightweight but seems sturdy, it is more shallow than what I expected but I think it will serve the purpose that I was wanting it for. If you want to drain large pots of pasta or vegies I think you will want a larger size than this.

Not much happy
Quality is not very good. Holes are not to big enough and positioned not very good. Most of the time very difficult to drain water.

Three Stars
Needed 2 larger holes in the bottom to drain properly.
