The quality required by this OEM part is undeniable.
First of all let me start by saying that I tried purchasing and installing a cheap non-OEM bearing kit easily found from sellers on Ebay and Amazon. The non-OEM's bearing kit's dimensions seamed off. The bearing self-destructed within a week. I ordered The OEM Ford bearing F4DZ3517A from Amazon along with other key OEM Ford Parts, and reinstalled. What a difference. No lateral or axial play. The steering is a smooth as glass. The 4 generic off-brand components from these non-OEM kits are crap. The Upper Column Bearing (F4DZ-3517-A), Conical Thrust Ring (F3XY-3L539-A), Upper Bearing Spring (F57Z-3520-AA), and External Snap Ring (FODZ-3C610-A) should all be OEM Ford parts if you want to restore the smoothness and dependability of the factory steering. The only off-brand kit part that was acceptable was the Upper Column Bearing Sleeve (FODZ-3518-B). Save yourself the heartburn and buy Ford OEM.

Can't go wrong with OEM!
It installed and worked exactly as it should have. I wish I'd gotten the plated updated bearing for my steering column, but worked for my 1993 F350 with a steering column for an automatic.

My Truck is running so....
One of two bearings I had to replace and was over joyed to find the right one here and get it in.
