Doesn’t always work
Doesn’t work very well. Has a short Bluetooth range. Home kit shows that it’s unlocking but it isn’t doing anything. Weird things. Maybe it needs an update

Cylinder seems unsafe
Nice quality lock but the cylinder looks as a normal one, and have no idea how it does with security. On the key it says 'patent pending' and I know that is just a method applied by some sellers for 'marketing' purposes. The key does not seem to differ from a normal one, but I might be wrong.

Not a smart lock at all
Having bought one of these from Apple’s Regent Street store I’m severely regretting the purchase.Firstly I had issues trying to get additional keys for the physical lock part, made by Gerda. No locksmiths I enquired with could help and it turns out Gerda don’t support the type of key via Gerda UK meaning the only option is to order from Gerda in Poland. Not happy with keys to my house being posted to me!!Then I find out most of the features Danalock website claim the v3 has don’t apply to the version I have. No auto unlock, no ability to add users and give them time limited access, no report on who has locked or unlocked the door, just notification of the action itself. Altogether the functionality is completely hobbled which Danalock have blamed on Apple despite their web site being unclear and misleading. All in avoid this as I don’t think it’s fit for purpose unless all you want is to be able to control you door by voice having fumbled in your pocket to fish your phone out!
