Was great instead of running a lot of xlr cables to make the runs

This is a handy breakout box set! I always worry about heavy cabling running underfoot of bandmates and patrons. This setup cuts down on clutter, risk of trip hazard and setup time. It adds to the number of XLR cables needed 4 source in, 4 output to the mixer/board, but they can be much shorter....that's good. If phantom power is needed, use shielded CAT cable. These are particularly handy for drummers! Less clutter and easier setup.

Very disappointing, since Cable Matters is a "go to" brand for me for so many other projects. I bought (4) pairs of these for use with a 16-channel audio mixer, and to avoid any potential issues, I bought (4) professional grade EtherCon cables (also by Cable Matters). Some of the input channels worked fine, but we always had random noise on some channels or sometimes no signal at all. For those inputs, we had to bypass these breakout boxes, and go straight into the board directly, which eliminates the whole point of having them. Would have cost about the same and would be more reliable to have a couple of XLR send/return snake units, instead of these cheaply made gadgets (which are available under several brands). Will not continue to use this junk.

Copper goes in one side, goes out the other, what can I say! Great for getting xlr's from the end of one long room to another. Audio sounds good out the other end

There is so much noise being picked up this is unusable.
