To a minor extent it is used in the production of cosmetic ingredients.However, as is well publicised, forests are being logged, and animals endangered by outlaws who are logging indiscriminately in order to increase the palm oil plantations.We at Faith in Nature never include palm oil into our products, but some of our ingredients are manufactured using palm oil as the base.Where practical alternatives exist, we are switching to non palm oil or we use certified sustainable palm oil, and have recently made this switch covering over 100,000kg of ingredients per annum. Also all our soaps are manufactured with sustainable certified palm oil from properly managed and sustainable sources, which cause no concern to animal life.Other ingredients we use which do contain a percentage of palm oil are all sourced from suppliers who are signed up to the Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil, and are all actively looking to source from responsibly harvested palm oil.This is the aim of Faith in Nature, to either phase out palm based ingredients, or be able to buy such ingredients from fully sustainable sources. We have made significant progress in recent years and are now in an almost fully sustainable position.ParabensParabens are a very widely used group of preservatives.Faith in Nature do NOT use Parabens at all and only use preservatives which are considered suitable for organic certified products. Our customers can therefore be assured of a safe, mild product.PhthalatesPhthalates are a controversial group of chemical compounds that could influence our products in two ways. Firstly, they are used to turn polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from a hard plastic into a flexible plastic, such as in a shampoo bottle, and secondly, they can be utilised in deodorants, body lotions and some other personal care products.Some health advocates argue that the use of these chemicals can affect women of child bearing age leading to birth defects, whilst others point out that there is little evidence that phthalates can cause harm in humans.Whilst there is no categorical evidence either way, on the basis that there is a degree of public concern, we have made the decision that phthalates will not be used in any of our products, and we will make every attempt to ensure they are not utilised in any of our packaging materials or containers.PreservativesFor many years Faith in Nature has been producing natural toiletries with as little allergic reaction and as minimal environmental impact as possible. Part of this process is to limit the amount of preservatives in products to a level that is sufficient to preserve the product, protect you, our customers, and give a shelf life to the products we supply.We only use environmentally friendly preservatives that comply with the ecological criteria for the award of European Community Ecological labels.Our ideal solution would be to use natural ingredients which are part of the product blend. However, over many years experience, we have found the most suitable preservatives to be ones which conform to organic standards of production, such as specified by the Organic Certification bodies. These are not necessarily natural ingredients, but have been proven safe and suitable for use in products of the highest natural standards.The ingredient Sodium Benzoate is the salt of benzoic acid. In our formulations it converts to benzoic acid which is an ingredient found in nature. Potassium Sorbate is the salt of sorbic acid and similarly converts to sorbic acid, also found in nature.These ingredients, though synthetic, are classed as nature identical as they are found in nature in the same way that vitamin C can be synthetically produced.Product Bases (Surfactants, SLS & SLES)All our products are blended from a mix of essential oils, herbal extracts and other wonderful and special ingredients. Some of our products (shampoo, shower gel/foam bath and hand wash) contain a base called Ammonium Laureth sulphate (ALES). We do not use SLS, nor SLESALES is considered to be a safe and effective cleansing agent and is rapidly biodegradable. Virtually 100% of this base is immediately removed from the skin or hair by the simple act of rinsing with water.Whilst ALES can be derived from animal fats or from petrochemicals, all Faith in Nature products containing this base only contain ALES that has been derived from plant/vegetable oil.A prime advantage of our ALES is that it has a large sized molecule. Sorry, that is something you would have to ask the manufacturer Faith in nature. In itself, palm oil is a vegetable product which does not need to involve the (ab)use of animals, and therefore is suitable for vegans. ... The best soap for our family

This soap is my absolute favorite! All the range are excellent but the coconut is a winner🏆 It lathers well but not too much and is great for my sensitive skin with just a gentle aroma of coconut. If your super sensitive the Unscented soap bar is the one to choose. More expensive than the supermarket soaps but in my opinion far superior - one bar lasts a family of 3 for a week, showering every day 😀 Skin feels washed, cleansed & stays soft and moisturized afterwards. Amazon always have the best prices and it always looks great with recyclable packaging 🥥

Lovely Scent and Luxurious Foam, but Runs Out Quickly

I recently tried this soap, and I must say it smells absolutely wonderful. The fragrance is refreshing and lingers on the skin, making it a delight to use. However, I did find that it finished quicker than expected. Despite being a good-sized bar, it didn’t last as long as other soaps I have used. On the plus side, it’s highly foaming, which makes for a luxurious lather and a satisfying cleanse. If you’re looking for a soap with a great scent and rich foam, this is perfect. Just be aware that it may not last as long as you’d hope.

Ho provato questo sapone per la prima volta, dopo aver precedentemente acquistato lo shampoo della stessa marca, ed essendo rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. Anche questa seconda esperienza è stata formidabile!! Il sapone in questione è molto delicato, pulisce in profondità senza seccare la cute. L'ho provato proprio in quanto ho la pelle particolarmente sensibile e devo dire che non mi ha lasciato nessun effetto collaterale (riscontrato con moltissime altre tipologie di sapone), tra cui irritazioni e/o pruriti ed eccessiva secchezza. Inoltre il prodotto non unge e si deterge velocemente, senza utilizzare cospicui risciacqui (ripeto: pur nettando l'epidermide in profondità). La profumazione al thè è piuttosto neutra. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo: considerando soprattutto la purezza degli ingredienti e la fattura artigianale, penso sia difficile trovare di meglio, al prezzo richiesto dall'annuncio di vendita. Tempi di consegna estremamente celeri (un solo giorno lavorativo); imballaggio solido ed accurato.
