Worth it for sure
Very good practice amp. Terrific sound for guitar and as Bluetooth speaker. Excited to explore other functionality.

Great compact PA/ Amp.
This is my 4 th positive grid product. Love the sound. This unit cranks. Purchased battery also and can play anywhere. Plug in my acoustic and microphone, separate setting for both plus 8 presets per channel. Can easily switch guitars from acoustic guitar then switch to electric guitar and rock on. Recently used this at an event as a PA and Bluetooth speaker for music.

Great Monitor!
I use this as my practice amp and a monitor for electric guitar. You can independently control speaker volume from your output to a mixer. Output is mono or stereo instrument 1/4". Paired with the Control X and my whole travel package to practice is the guitar, this speaker, and a backpack that carries misc bits.

Pretty much a Kitchen Sink...
This is really good complete solution and has allowed me to downsize, yet not really lose any functionality. Quite the contrary... Have been there and done all that on: 1) Tube vs solid state vs digital 2) Pedals... For 1): I am totally OK with digital these days. I know there are purists out there who say they can hear a difference. I don't buy it and certainly don't want to pay it. Also the digital world can give you 500%+ more features (easily) as well. Digital CAN recreate any sound if given enough of the various resources (advanced algorithms, processing power, memory, sampling points). 20 years ago not enough resources were a problem, especially for the price. No longer today and those resources will likely continue to scale up in favor of digital... Item 2) issues are now mostly resolved by 1): The Positive Grid Edge incorporates more pedals, amps, features than I use. A nice new feature is speaker cabinet emulation. A lot of sound sculpting possibilities and allowing the use of a FRFR speaker of whatever size needed. The way to go in my opinion as you can use the speaker for beyond your guitar playing, and still has the flexibility to plug into a PA system if needed. Ditto for recording. Decent control of your signal chain: pedal effects with whatever amp and speaker cabinet you desire. Finally saving all of these configurations and recalling them easily by installing as presets or using a smartphone app. Pretty amazing... What I like (in the most order) about the Positive Grid Edge: It has a quality FRFR speaker. And at a decent output wattage to span bedroom playing to small needs. Bigger is not always better if you want a good sound at lower volume, such as practicing in my house. But if you need the bigger, stereo lineouts are also there WITH or WITHOUT the built-in speakers sounding, allowing its use as a monitor. And it will accept multiple input sources, XLR and/or plug, line in stereo option and bluetooth. Some input channels are through the Spark amp and others directly to the speaker. Very versatile... All aspects of the Positive Grid Edge can be battery powered and the rechargeable battery works well... I generally really only need/use a few good basics of: compressor, dirt/boost, modulation, reverb, delay. The Spark amp covers those pretty well along with a few specialties. The app that makes the selecting, using, saving signal chain components pretty straight forward. Good enough... I had the original Spark 40 and liked what it had. I figured that the Spark 2 amp would also be an upgrade on capability and happy to say that it is. A typical weakness of digital modeling manifests most noticeably on the bloom of crunch tone note and/or while the note is fading. When digital finally exceeds its capability it will drop everything on the floor as opposed to analog tube or solid state. Examples: During the onset and bloom of a note one can often hear some audible change suddenly appear/disappear. It can be subtle, but once you hear it, you can't stop not hearing it. And it's worse if it is not consistent on when and how it does it. Ditto on the problem sometimes being on the fade out of a note. This is my absolute #1 beef about digital modelers and unfortunately is the majority of the cheaper/older ones. The original Spark 40 DID artifact and the Spark 2 DOES NOT - as far as my usage of it so far has been. Kudos to Positive Grid for beefing up the digital engine under the hood... It has allowed me to rid myself of quite a few amps, speakers and pedals. I still have a few boutique effects pedals and some exceptional purpose pedals that are worth keeping around for when needed. It compliments what I still have, both as a powered speaker and can even be placed as a versatile component in an exotic signal chain. Alotta possibilities... Gotta love it for a lot of bells and whistles- a lot of it well thought out and well implemented- - catering to a wide audience- and more than decent bang for the buck. But still can be at the end of the day the best simple fun of a good sounding amp that only requires your guitar and absolutely nothing else...

Infuriating product -- WAAAAY too much hassle for the money
THIS IS GETTING RETURNED! Not worth it for $250! The app sucks (you have to hit the tiny knobs on the tiny pictures of the amps to change levels!!! IT'S CRAZY!), requires you to use bluetooth AND location services on, and *constantly* disconnects (you can't change ANY settings besides channel volume and preset patch without the app). There is no way to configure the sounds on PC. You can only have ONE slot for each type of effect (ONE noise gate, ONE comp/ wah (19.99 for the wah pack) ONE drive, ONE amp/ preamp, ONE mod/eq, ONE delay, and ONE reverb), you can't have chorus and eq or flanger and phaser etc.) I gave it one star because it is lightweight, and sounds appropriate. It's just too difficult to use and too intrusive. Get a nice modeling pedal board and skip the Spark Edge.

Good product, good price, flawless delivery. Thanks!
Delivered on time, and in perfect shape. I had a Positive Grid Spark Amp, which I loved. Since this new Edge version has the vocal channel, I sold my original Spark, and bought this Spark Edge. So far, I love it. I have not tried the vocal channel yet, but the guitar channel sounds great with endlessly varied tone options via the Spark app. This update has a nice feature of being able to separately control the volume levels of paired music, and your guitar. So adjusting the levels when you jam to tracks is even more specific. Nice.

Buy this!
The perfect amp! Why didn't they invent this 15years ago??..I could have saved thousands of dollars in buying a dozens of guitar, bass amps that are so big and heavy and now collecting dust! It does EVERYTHING in one package! Guitar, Bass, keys, vocal PA. BATTERY operated. Light weight, built in presets. Small but loud enough to gig in a small venue or busy. Its almost unfair. Bluetooth connected fratures. Other Amp makers gonna need to catch up.

Blown away!
I'm blown away at how great sounding (and loud) this thing is for the size. It's lightweight but the build quality is excellent. The speaker is great but the software is the total icing on the cake! Electric bass is no problem for this either.

I've had a couple of months with the Edge and I couldn't be happier. I've used it in a number of venues including churches and lounges. It has earned star reviews for clarity and quality of sound. I often use all four inputs for guitar, vocals, bass and cello and it handles it all with aplomb. I won't go into an in depth rave about the app control of the sound as it is generic to the rest of the Positive Grid amps. Suffice to say it is an eye opener and seems like the gateway to the future of sound control without the need for unending foot pedals. I've recently identified an issue with one of the channels, contacted Positive Grid and they have been quick and efficient at analyzing the issue and identifying the need for a replacement unit. I'll do an update when I get through the actual return process.

Just perfect !
