It’s a good product . No problem except that it’s Light weight. could have been more sturdier

We purchased this monitor to use while travelling. It hardly takes up any space in your bag, sets up very easily and doesn’t require any internet connection. The monitor has decent battery life and picture quality. The range is good too… I’ve used it in both hotel rooms and large homes with no connectivity issues. Highly recommend.

I tried this V24R video monitor after my experiences with the equivalent Vtech model, and this won hands down. The V24R has excellent range: far better than the VM819, slightly better than the audio-only DM111 (less cutting in/out in marginal conditions), though not quite as strong as the VM923 with its external antennas. Unlike the Vtech video monitors, the parent unit in the V24R has a user-replaceable rechargeable battery, so you don't have to worry about throwing it out in a year or two. Other pluses: * The V24R's parent unit is more compact and easily pocketable than the Vtech ones. * The V24R has 5 LEDs to indicate audio level rather than 3, which provides far better visual feedback when you have the sound off. * The alert tone when the parent unit loses signal is a reasonable volume. * The UI is very quick and responsive, with the screen toggling on and off immediately when you tap the power button. * The Babysense includes a proper manual. Unlike the Vtech video monitors, the Babysense won't turn the display back on automatically when the sound level increases unless you use "Eco" mode, which also mutes the audio, leaving only the LED meter on. This is largely a matter of preference though: since the Babysense responds so quickly when you tap the button to turn on the display, the loss of automatically turning on while still being able to hear sound doesn't bother me in practice. If you don't mind muted audio, the Babysense's Eco mode will check that box. There's some room for improvement in the UI, but nothing dire. I wish the night light wasn't the first menu item, since I don't want to turn that on by accident. Putting Eco mode first would be preferable, as would putting the night light last. As it is, I'll do some surgery on the camera to disable the night light. When I bought this, it was the same price as the VM819 and far superior. It doesn't seem to be available at the moment, though, so YMMV.

Love this little monitor! I was the mom that thought I didn't want a video monitor when I had my first kid, then I had to *try* and teach him how to sleep, and realized that a video monitor was INVALUABLE. I got a Motorola one because that's what my friend had, but it didn't last more than a couple years before the power cord connection crapped out on the parent unit, and made the whole system useless. Once the expensive one broke (second kid is now 10 months old) I knew I wanted to get another video monitor, but I didn't want it to have a stupid USB power cord connection and break like the first one did, I also didn't want to spend $200. Enter this nifty little $50 monitor! I LOVE IT. Pros: -Eco mode is amazing - totally silences the monitor and turns the screen off, but leaves a flashing green light at the top so you know it's connected, it's just nice and quiet. This may be hard as a first time parent, but since we're on the second kid we don't want to hear the white noise machine in our ear all night long. -It's small and light! Maybe a little larger than a deck of cards, easy to slip in your pocket and carry around while chasing the older child that no longer naps. -It totally satisfies my requirement of being able to basically tell what the baby is doing while he's in the crib. If you need to be able to see your baby breathing this monitor may not be for you since the screen is relatively small and basic. -Battery life is great, likely due to eco mode and the unit's relatively small screen. Cons: -The screen on it's dimmest setting is still pretty bright to look at with sleepy eyes at 3AM when your baby wakes up and you're trying to figure out if it's going to go back to sleep. -Same with volume, there isn't much fine tuning on this thing, it's pretty much either on or off, though you can blast the volume if you really want to feel like your baby is crying right next to you despite them being on the other end of the house.
