Directions were NOT easy to follow. We did this as a group activity and we all ended up doing our "own thing" to assemble the book. I would not recommend this kit!

I'll start this review off by saying, the materials themselves were great. But everything else? Oh. My. God. The instructions FROM THE START were unclear. It said vague things like "mark the leather as shown above" which is all fine and dandy if the pictures weren't so blurry and tiny that you couldn't actually see the measurements marked, and pretty much had to guess. Other instructions include "thread the paper" and "thread the leather", with more difficult to decipher pictures which show how it should look in the end instead of showing how to complete the action. My largest complaint is the huge lack of measurement instructions despite the kit coming with a ruler. Yes, SOME instructions had measurements, but the most important parts? Like where you should put holes and how much leather you should cut, was shown in very blurry images that you could not read. My friend also got a WEBEEDY DIY journal kit, and had similar, if not worse issues with the following things. All that is to say, please don't buy this kit, or any WEBEEDY kit, if you aren't ready to guesstimate 90% the time.
