Our 10-year-old bunny developed GI stasis during a 14-day course of antibiotics. It was a tough situation, and we knew how important it was to help his gut recover by restoring healthy microbes. Did not fix my kitten's diarrhea (believe it was the formula we were giving him), but was great while he was on antibiotics. Still use this every so often for both of my cats, has multiple bacterias rather than just one so is better than Fortiflora in my opinion!

I mix this probiotic powder w/ baby food or applesauce whenever one of my pet rats is taking antibiotics, to maintain a healthy amount of beneficial bacteria in their intestines (which antibiotics kill). Probiotics aren't just for humans - they can help pet animals as well. :-) This brand has a good variety of different bacteria species. It's also easy to mix into food & has no flavor, aside from slight sweetness. That's also a big plus, because animals can be fussy!

I have a senior cat (somewhere over 16) who was losing weight, vomiting and had terrible diarrhea. After extensive vet testing, the best they could come up with was probably IBD and good luck with that. He was too old and thin to safely biopsy. So I started researching and decided food sensitivities might be an issue. At the same time The Kitten Lady on YouTube mentioned Bene-bac for sickly kittens or any cat with digestive issues. My old boy now eats a limited ingredient wet turkey (chicken makes his gut explode) with Bene-bac added. He really misses his old wet food, so getting him to eat is a challenge, but the presence of the product doesn't deter him at all. He eats it the same with or without the product if I mix it in, maybe even making him like it a little more. He's not a fan of it just sitting on top of the food - maybe a texture issue? So his poo is almost back to normal, though still super stinky (he sneaks the other cat's food occasionally), and his stomach no longer makes endless growling and popping sounds. Something is working! I don't know if it was just switching to a novel protein or if adding Bene-bac did the trick, but I figure an old cat's digestion isn't what it used to be. Adding pre- and probiotics would probably help, can't hurt, and it's not very expensive, since one bottle has lasted weeks.

On the rare occasion that one of my cats have a little poopy problem this stuff usually stops it pretty quickly

We used this to help nurse our bunny back to health after he battled Coccidia and E. Cuniculi early on in his life. We would easily sprinkle it over some wet greens for him. He didn’t seem bothered by the taste at all. Since he is so tiny, one bottle lasts us a long time. We credit Bene-Bac for really helping to repair his gut health. He is now a very happy and healthy two-year old bunny.

Evidently you can't smell it. Ferals and my indoor cats will eat it.
