DoveCurl Cream Amino Curl for Curly, Coily Hair with Bio-Protein Care Technology + Amino Complex 8 Fl Oz

After garnier products (my favorite one is not longer available), this is the best one I've ever tired. I combine this with the Dove bondad repair and my wave/curly hair looks so healthy.

This doesn't make your hair stiff, but it does moisturize and curl the hair with moist hair. I like it because I can use a little every day, but it doesn't get gummy.

I have very fine, naturally curly hair. This curl cream is one of the better drugstore brands I've tried. It defines my curls while still leaving them soft to the touch. It feels like it moisturizes my hair without making it look greasy. It has helped smooth out my frizz. The scent smells nice, but it didn't last all day (I wish it did). That's the only "complaint" I have, if you can even call it that. My hair type is somewhere between a 2c/3a for reference, and this worked well for me. I do have fine/thin hair, so it can weigh it down if I use too much. I just keep that in mind and don't overuse products.

I really wanted this product to work for me, as I love the benefits described, but unfortunately, it just didn't. I have fine 2C/3A hair, so it borders between wavy and curly on any given day. I used this product wet, damp, and dry, and with all three, I never really saw the kind of results I wanted. My hair felt frizzy, not soft, and I didn't see any benefit to the definition of my curls. I do see that it says the cream is more for curly/coily hair, so it's possible I just don't have the right curls and hair texture for this product. I think because my hair is fine, this cream just weighed down my curls and didn't provide the kind of softness and definition I was looking for. Product smells good, is easy to apply, and has great ingredients, but if your hair is on the lower side of the curl scale, it may not work great for you.

Dove has stopped selling the Mousse for curls; this seems to be the next best option for curly hair without causing the straw like feeling in my hair.
