Great saw.
This thing preforms very well, it's lightweight, easy to use and hold. The batteries last a long time on a single charge. I used it quie heavily to build an 8x10 deck for my pool and I would recommend it to others!

*bias review* I loved this product before I bought my own lol. Not much to say, cordless, powerful, convienent, and somehow this model is whisper quiet...I dont remember them being this quiet 😊 This saw is a must have for those who love cordless tools/own makita tools.

Critical part failure
I love makita, every cordless tool I own is makita. I've never had a problem with their tools and I really loved this saws functionality, however I could tell even from the pictures before purchasing it that the height adjuster looked pretty flimsy. I used this saw for one deck project this season and it failed after maybe 20 uses. The height adjuster itself is very cheaply made and as you can see in the pictures it will eventually fail at it's connection to the base plate. I had the height adjusted for a 1.5 inch depth and when I laid the saw down after the cut it snapped. I put the saw through nothing outside it's limitations, I made a cut and placed the saw on the ground. The saw is great, very powerful with the two batteries and made several rip cuts over 8' long with ease. I really loved this saw but the height adjuster is just so flimsy and obtrusive almost as if it was forgotten and then just added on as an afterthought.
