This is my 4th order for this tea in a bamboo roll
UPDATE: This is the 4th time I have purchased this tea over a period of several years.. I have tried many brands of Pu-erh tea and this one is my favorite.. you can really taste the difference in the various brands of these teas.. The others just don't stack up.. Nice mellow flavor and it reminds me of chocolate..no its not chocolate but it has a really nice distinctive taste.. I highly recommend this tea. This is a great tea. It has a nice mellow flavor.. I don't like Pu-erh in the loose leaf and the bricks are just too hard to break and too crumbly .. This tea comes in a row of 1.5"x 1/8" disks that you can break in half.. One half disk is plenty to make a large mug of tea. I make my tea strong so you may want to use less. I really like the bambo tube it comes in.. It's cool looking and it keeps he disks nicely in order as you peel it back to expose more. At 7oz of tea, its a lot of tea in a small space.. I recommend this tea!

Jinglong Pu-erh is now my go to morning tea!
Jinglong Pu-erh is now my go-to morning tea and I absolutely love it. The tea is rich and strong and very flavorful. I truly look forward to my Pu-erh tea every morning. I like to add a small piece of candied ginger to the cup and a bit of cream too - so wonderful and a lovely way to wake up. The tea comes in round cakes about the size of a half dollar that are easily snapped into 4 quarter pieces. I then put a small tea piece into a tea brewing basket and brew in near boiling water for about 5 minutes. If you want to add a top-notch electric tea kettle to your repertoire, I highly recommend the Cuisinart CPK-17 PerfecTemp 1.7-Liter Stainless Steel Cordless Electric Kettle. 4000+ positive reviews = I LOVE MINE. Also, I like to take my tea with me during my commute and I highly recommend the Contigo travel mug - it has a no spill top - for real - no spill!! and my tea stays hot for a solid hour - and I do mean HOT. Look on Amazon for: Contigo AUTOSEAL West Loop Stainless Steel Travel Mug , 16 oz. I'm an espresso and latte guy but I like to add Pu-erh to my morning ritual as well for balance and a bit less caffeine. Plus my digestion improves after drinking a cup of this tea and I notice that the tea keeps my hunger at bay as well. This is a fine company and clearly very dedicated to their craft. Great tea, great find and highly recommended!!

A good tea.
I love tea, and have been a "serious" tea drinker for about a decade now. I love a good oolong, and I can appreciate and enjoy almost everything in between, but for the life of me for years now I have not been able to really aquire a taste for Pu-erh tea. Alot of the other Pu-erh teas I've tasted have had a very off-putting hay and "barnyard" flavor note that I just don't enjoy. But this tea might be the one that changes my mind on Pu-erh. It's got a medium earthiness to it, but it's not at all off-putting, and it has a wonderful floral note and all around good flavor. Personally, I find the 3rd brew to be the best. I still don't think Pu-erh will ever be my favorite, but this one will likely become standard in my tea rotation.

Amazing tea
I drink a lot of tea. Some people at work call me a tea snob because of my teas. I saw the price and thought this tea would be subpar, but serviceable. I was wrong. This tea is not just good for the price, it's outstanding at twice the price. Not that I want to pay twice the price, just that it's better than some of the teas I paid three to four times the price. The tea is rich and has a good mouthfeel from the first steep to the fourth. The second cup is the best cup. I love the complex flavor and it's become my go to tea. The tea comes in tightly packed disc's which have to be broken down into quarters, which can be a bit messier than some other teas. It's convenient though if you want to share a cup with another enjoyer of fine teas. This tea found itself a spot among my regularly ordered teas.

Don't expect it to replace your daily puerh. But worth a try for the price?
Considerably smaller than I was expecting, but I didn't pay much attention to weight. And it was cheap. The bamboo leaf bundle-thing was packaged in an airtight, resealable bag, with the typical puerh instructions and distributor listed on the bag. Definitely has a different sort of funk, than any of the many other puerh teas I have... plenty of stems and I couldn't pick out a single whole leaf in my cup of tea, and as such, I suspect it is Definitely a lower grade tea. This tea is perplexing. Required more washing than most puerh, and had an astringency at first probably a result of all the broken edges of the leaf and stems, however. After washing, and brewing at a lower temp, its ok, not terrible. But its not what I would reach for when I would typically want a cup of shou puerh either. To be fair, its not that this won't grow on me, just that its so different; so many broken edges, stems, and perhaps a hastened fermenting? At first glance It resembles my other puerh, but then crumbles, has a different odor, astringency, and a completely different flavor profile. Its cheap. Its different. It doesn't taste like any of my other puerh. It probably needs aging. its growing on me, but certainly not what I would introduce to someone as their first puerh.

I have to be careful not to leave the compressed leaves in the cup for too long. Its very powerful but the flavour is wonderful. Product came from Poland in a hand written envelope! I didn't know Poland produces tea!

I let it steep for 15 mins for the second time brewing to get more flavor. I found out this product uses the tips and leftover pieces of the pu erh plant. Now it is still an awesome product with good flavor..but next time I will try the actual full size pu erh cake.
