Got 2 of these and could not love them more! Legs are the favorite around my house, and I often wonder why they haven't generated an 8 legged chicken yet. One was a little wonky in getting all the pieces working together but fussed with it for a couple of minutes and all was well. I love kitchen tools and expected this to be just ok, but not great. I have used them 3 times in the last 2 weeks! Work sooooo great. The legs come out perfectly and evenly cooked, crispy skin, no need to turn them, they don't sit in their own juice while cooking. I dry very well, sprinkle Garlic and Tony's on them, place on racks and let sit out for a few minutes to dry a little more for more crispy skin. Works great. 375° for 45 min. or so. Use a meat thermometer. I do use the trays with veggies on them, so far Brussels sprouts, Cauliflower and Carrots. The chicken flavor gets on the veggies like a good pot roast. Yum. The carrots worked the best. The other two were a bit overcooked, so would probably have to stage them - adding after 15 minutes, which would be a bit of a pain. Toss the veggies in a bit of olive oil and same seasonings as the legs plus some herbs like thyme or basil. If we ate carbs small red potatoes with the same seasonings would be Wow! Three small caveats. One, they are a tiny bit flimsy in general but still extremely useful and fold up to fit easily into the dishwasher and clean easily as well. I do spray with cooking oil. Two, a couple of the legs slid off during cooking the first time I used it. So I take a piece of kitchen twine and tie around once. Problem solved. Three, the trays are the same size as the racks and so the amount of veggies you can add is limited. If the trays were twice the size and taller they would be better. I hope someday someone makes an upscale version of this gadget. Stainless steel, larger trays, a bit taller to accommodate more veggies and potatoes, more of a last-a-lifetime gadget. But if these break sooner than later for whatever reason I will happily buy new ones and continue serving my perfectly cooked chicken 🐔 legs! Can't wait to try on my grill next. Yum yum yum. *UPDATE* The seller sent me a replacement about a week later without me asking just based on my review. The new one I received wasnt damaged like the first one and worked great. Ive used it in my oven and my vertical smoker several times with no issues and great results. I spray it lightly with a little oil before using and it washes up super easy. Now that Ive had a chance to test it for a few months, Ill probably order a couple more for using in my smoker. Just received my chicken leg rack and straight out of the box, all the tabs for the stand are bent up pretty bad. No damage to the box, just the stand inside. The tabs are pretty flimsy and probably wont last long after I bend them back.

Pros: - cleans up east and stores nicely - drop tray Dave’s grill Cons: - needed to be bent to keep drummers from sliding out - flimsy build Used this product for the first time this weekend and was able to make some fantastic lollipop chicken with it. However, it took a little bit of effort to make the rack work. I ended up bending the rack slightly to make sure the drummers didn’t slip out of the lot notch. The drip pan is a must to catch the grease that would otherwise end up on the grill. Build is somewhat flimsy but that’s to be expected at this price point. Cleaned up east and stores compacted.

Love, Love, Love this kitchen gadget! Such an easy way to bake chicken drummies. My recipe is to marinade any chicken I bake in buttermilk ( 1 cup milk to 2 tbs white vinegar), I add S & P & garlic powder.I pulled the meat away from the end to make 'lollipops', patted off the wetness, hooked those drummies in the slots and voila'!! I did put some cut up peppers & onions on the tray & sprinkled some seasoning & olive oil. I had to move my oven racks to make the stand fit to bake. I baked at 375 for 40 min & they came out Dee-Lish-Us!!! Very easy to clean, I did not use 'cooking spray' to coat the stand, and it came clean with soap & water. Haven't tried this on the grill yet, need to wait til it's warmer for that! Easy to store. Totally Recommend!!

I’ve been using my vertical smoker all summer and have been looking at different meats to smoke. Based on previous reviews, drumsticks may fall off the holders but an easy way to remedy this is to tie the drumsticks with cooking twine. I’ve never had this problem, but if you’re afraid of grease dripping over, then place an aluminum pan towards the bottom racks. You can buy disposable pans for less than $5 at the grocery. Pick some up while you’re shopping for your future meats that you plan to smoke.

I'm so excited to have purchased this product! It's built sturdy just as you would want from a rack that's going to hold your chicken legs. The metal looks so good, that using this entire thing, right from the smoker and placing it on the table to serve is going to be a great addition to the way I can display my food on the table. Having the dish underneath to prevent drips but even more so, to use for vegetables and other things that will collect the sources and get cooked while I smoke my chicken legs is a great thing to have! Amazing product, highly recommended!

The chicken legs would not stay on the rack. I had some pretty big chicken legs and could only put 4 on a side. When it had the 8 legs on the rack the legs kept trying to slide off. I had to take a piece of wire & loop it through the rack on each side to keep legs from sliding off the ends.

I was surprised at how beautiful and golden on the outside, juicy on the inside. This rack is the answer to cooking beautiful chicken leg. Now I have to see how the chicken wings come outside. I'll try to remember to that a picture.
