I am in my 60s and for some reason (other than I really love Harry Potter) I bought The Owlery at Christmas for myself. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought I would go to something bigger. This is a lovely and clever set of Lego. They put the pieces into separate bags (think this one has 24??) so you can do a section at a time. Apart from the books that they supply with the kit, I HIGHLY recommend the Lego Builder App. This is brilliant as you can look at the construction of the pieces in 3-D to make sure they are in the right place. Its more clear obviously, in 3-D. I have the BIG Hogwarts Castle to do (6k pieces) after Ive finished Diagon Alley but I am enjoying every minute of it and I am finding it so relaxing too. Well done Lego - a brilliant set!

Great gift for the lego and Harry Potter lover in your life

Great set but unfortunately after making one half my (adult) daughter has put it away as the tiny bricks are so painful for her fingers when putting it together. She will come back to it at some point, but it is the first ever Lego set she hasn’t enjoyed making up. We will stick to full size Lego for future sets.

Great set, 9 year old loves it! Lots of small pieces, great for a Harry Potter fan.
