Product is great, however it would have been helpful to know the correct manufacturer for setup
Ok, firstly fitting this switch is no small task as very few houses have a neutral wire going to the switch which means you will likely need to provide one which will mean some rewiring. If you are like me, then getting a neutral to the switch means pulling floorboards up to gain access to the wires. The neutral wire requirement is communicated and is clear, but may not be obvious as to what it means due varied knowledge of house electrics. It is also worth noting that fitment would (officially) require signoff from a qualified electrician if you are living in the UK.However once fitted, it works fine once setup. It is also worth noting if you are intending to use this with Alexa, then you need to select the manufacturer as "Tugo" (or something similar) as they are the software supplier. Took me a while to work this out as the instructions to link this to Alexa are not very good. Once setup, you can determine the names of the lights and Alexa will respond accordingly, for example, if you name the lights "wall lights" or "bobs bunchkins" Alexa will know what you mean and will respond accordingly. I was worried that the commands would be generic but this was not the case, but please note, the light names are set in the smart life app and not during the Alexa link.

Good smart light for google assistant
The media could not be loaded. Β Good product, does what it claims to do. Paired no issues with the Smart Life app and Google assistant. Just remember to hold the touch button for 5 seconds to get the WiFi indicator to flash. Does require a neutral cable. I dropped a star due to the depth of the back plate, which in most UK houses will require a spacer plate and therefore sticks out the wall which isnβt very esthetically pleasing. Might as well provide one in the box, among with 40mm screws which were essential to make this work as standard screws and ones they provide in the box are 25mm. So in the nutshell itβs a good product not very well thought out for UK. I emailed support who called me back and emailed back on Sunday which was impressive, though the issue I had was me forgetting to press the button for 5 seconds...

Check your wiring, if you want hassle free install
Really happy so far, loads of pros and I'm going to say no cons - possibly slightly sharp edges on the glass plate is all I can think of, and I'm clutching at straws with that..I was sceptical about the reviews saying about how good it was... If you've got the correct wiring in situ and your lining box/recess is deep enough it will be a hassle free install!- I'll definitely be getting a couple more when my extension is finished (complete with the new standard wiring and neutral cable) unfortunately the rest of the wiring in my house is old and fitting these out weighs the cost of re wiring just to fit the switches.- Build quality is fantastic, I love the glass finish, I was hoping it wouldn't come with the writing on the glass and it didn't (thankfully).- It works quickly, very little lag through Alexa and instant on/off from the switch itself. I'm running 3 x 60w non dimmable led battens off each output on the switch - this would be too much for the other switches I looked at which have wider product ranges, such as lightwaverf and energenie (which both require a pretty costly hub in comparison). To summarise, check your wiring and box first then buy one and stick it in.

Lovely finish, but connection not quite straightforward
This switch looks great and feels substantial. The tempered glass finish makes the rest of our switches look old-fashioned and cheap. Connection using the "easy mode" did not work with my BT hub despite having a 2.4GHz network. However, this was also an issue with other similar devices and there is an easy workaround: When connecting use the mobile app, select AP mode ensuring you disable mobile data on your mobile phone first (otherwise your phone connects to the switch, detects it has no internet connection and reverts to mobile data). This worked every time for me and I now have voice (Alexa), mobile and manual control over both lights in my kitchen/dining room. It's a shame Markevina don't sell a single gang version as I'd change several other switches as well.

I love this thing!
I used this to replace a standard double switch in my kitchen. We'd just refurbished it and the electrician left a neutral feed in (which is required) so wiring it in was simple. Connection is easy - following the steps in the guide - and, once the app and Alexa were connected it immediately worked for voice control. It may seem trivial but when you're walking through with plates for dinner it really is handy just to tell Alexa to turn off the lights or when you're halfway up the stairs and realise you've left the light on.It looks lovely with blue LEDs for the 'switches' (when active), one for the Wifi connection and a lovely glass front. The connection is stable and I've not had a single drop-out.One of my better purchases but remember you have to have a neutral wire for this to work.

Works well and attractive.
Had it wired two way between kitchen and living room switches so if not using phone or wi-fi down it was still usable. If not using phone just a slight touch in kitchen on bottom section of switch meant usable as two way with living room switch. On the phone app you have switch one and two with switch one kept on used switch two as remote on or off , these settings kept the two way manual use. If the mains goes of you have to reconnect the app to the switch.
