HolaFoto 2in1 Adapter: Just received the HolaFoto 2 in 1 adapter I ordered for my iPhone 7 plus. Arrived 17-days sooner than expected, order came from somewhere in China. Came in the via USPS, nice easy open package. First test plugged into lightning port of my iPhone 7 plus while in phone case, cool. Second test plug in lightning charging cable into lightning bolt side of adapter. Wala it works, phone is charging, cool. Third test plug in lightning earbuds, listen to music while charging battery. Ok, attached lightning earbuds in earphone side of the HolaFoto 2 in 1 adapter / splitter. Message box pop up on phone screen. This device not supported, not cool. However, after clicking the ok button, earbuds work, and battery is charging, that’s cool. Now for the main reason I purchased this lightning splitter. Use an external Rode video micro shotgun mic with my iPhone 7 Plus, and Smooth 4 gimbal. Will it work: record audio, will smooth 4 & phone balance. With the HolaFoto 2 in 1 adapter, and Rode smartphone audio input cable attached? Good news, it works, Rode video micro works, Smooth 4 works however, with HolaFoto 2in1 Adapter attached into lightning port on my iPhone 7 plus. Cannot adjust smooth 4 where Phone will balance properly with gimbal turned off. Turning Smooth 4 on, motors balance phone and seems to work ok. I believe the next step, come up with a counter weight that will help balance everything better. Allowing for everything work while putting less strain on Smooth 4 motors.

Cheap little adapter for wired mics. A lot of people wrote about it coming apart quickly, which will definitely happen if you aren’t careful with it. It’s cheap, and it feels like it. However, knowing that straight out of the box I knew to handle it gently and I’ve had no problems. The only other option would be to go with a Bluetooth mic.

Just received this product to work with my iPhone 8 and Zhiyun Smooth 4 with Mova external Shotgun MIC. At first it was stating that the iPhone was not reading the device but I flipped it around and reinserted and it appears to be working just fine now. It Is being discovered using Filmic Pro. If you have complications try switching it around or use a different port for mic. IPhone 8 running IOS 12

I purchased the splitter to use with my zhiyuan smooth 4 so that I use plug in the mic. I tested the quality of it with my headphone and I was disappointed by the inconsistent performance of this splitter. It worked for couple second and then it’s not working. It was so embarrassing in the office when something was supposed not to be heard by the public suddenly came up from the speaker of my phone instead of the headphone... it totally not worth $19 for a piece of trash

This lightening adapter is firm and good-looking. It works fine with my iphone and now I can use my earphone during charging. In general, it's a quality product.

Excellent quality and great product. Fits my Smooth Q really well. Easy to put on/off. Only drawback is you have to remove it from the Smooth Q afterwards because it won’t fit in the case to close. Other then that, still recommended if you need to add additional equipment to you gimbal.

I'm not sure if the one I got is broke or is that it works that way but I only get audio thru the headset port if set on a specific direction. If you hold the iPhone with the screen towards to you in a vertical position the port will only work if set to the right otherwise no audio. Besides that the phone randomly shows me a message that can't identify the device plugged to the lightning port.

The product works just as advertised, its made of good quality material and is definitely durable. I can now charge my phone and use my battery so I can extend my recording sessions!
