Nice and sticky

3m is a brand name I am happy to trust, and for the most part their tapes are excellent. And this is the case with the reel. It is supplied with wipes to prepare the surface, then apply and peel the backing from the clear, thin tape.Only negative is the edges of the reel are very sticky. I day in my tool box and all kinds of things were sticking to it....even getting it out of the supplied bag was a challenge.Very good tape though.

Terrible tape, really thin and has very poor adhesive with no stick at all. Would not recommend.

This isn't bad stuff at all. It arrives in a sealed bag that keeps everything from drying out in storage or transit.There's a reasonable level of adhesion to the tape. It obviously helps a lot if you apply it sensibly. A clean, dry, flat surface will greatly increase the adhesive nature of it. Also, let it cure for a time before applying weight to it. Allow it to bind with the surface for a while.A personal bugbear of mine is backing tape that is a nuisance to peel off ... and thankfully this stuff peels off cleanly. It's a pain when you begin peeling it and the backing paper just tears and you're left trying to pick it off. This doesn't (or at least hasn't so far) done that.I've used it to secure a small network switch to some smooth brickwork. The network switch had two perfectly flat panels on the base where I could attach this tape and so far it's held fine for the last 48 hours. It's actually pretty secure there and resists budging.I'd say this is fine for a lot of domestic uses.

I ordered this 3M branded clear mounting tape to secure some edging trim which was lifting in some places.The 19mm width was ideal as it did not show and the 10m length was sufficient to redo the whole downstair cloakroom.The backing strip was a bit fiddly to remove (my nails are currently short with doing DIY) and the tape has to be handled carefully as it is very fine and has a tendency to curl up.This has done a great job of tidying up the trim and I'm hopeful it will stay attached. I will update this review if I encounter any issues.At the time of ordering, this was priced at £11.99 which is a competitive price.
