This is not a 140 amp. welder.
Maximum output with inner shield (flux core) is only 120 amps. max as per the spec. sheet. Not 140 amps as advertised.Max output with stick is 115 amps. After test welding with the supplied wire the machine worked satisfactory but was greatly improved by using a premiumwire. I found Forney wire worked best.In stick mode the machine burned 3/32" filler metal rod great. I didn't test it with 1/8" but it may work with it in the vertical position. It may be a little cold for flat/ horizontal work.Arc stability was very good in both modes.I will update this review after I get some more run time.Just for total transparency. I am a welder with 50 years' experience.Update: The more I weld with this machine the more I like it. The syn mode parameters are spot on and they produce clean welds with little to no spatter. I mostly use .035 wire it seems to run a little smoother than .030.I don't usually recommend products, but this machine is a must have for the home workshop.I was never a fan of inner Shield flux core, but this machine made me a believer. Attached pics are flux core in as welded condition. I just used a couple of strokes from a hand wire brush to clean the slag off.

Love it!
Great little machine, so far I have repaired a mower deck [rotted front end 42" walk behind] 22 ga steel. Made a flag pole base for a 20 ft tall flagpole out of 1/4" angle, made a base for a 6x6x 5ft garden stand with 5/8 rebar and 3/8 plate and a trailer hitch for my truck. Welds great but I had to use my 20 amp 110 outlet because15 amp will blow a fuse. I would recommend this for a beginner and beyond , I have welded for 60 years and owned many welders I still have a Lincoln 300, Hobart, and Miller machines on trailers but this little guy I can bring anywhere in the backseat of my truck and run it off a generator. Love it!

Does not get a adapter plug in South Africa for this welder.
I did not used it yet. Looks well build. The manual does not describe the welder as a aluminum welder as stated on amazon. It just state mig 160. I believe that the advertise get more info on the product. I need this welder to rebuild my caravan. Aluminum frames I wanted to construct because wood rot is a big problem. Hope this welder make me proud.

Flux Wire Feed Only
So firstly, this is NOT a MIG welder. I don't know why they say it is. They say "Gasless MIG" in the description...and there is no such thing. It is a flux core wire feed welder. But I still give it five stars because it is amazing. The wire feed unit is solid. Which is rare in cheap welders. And the inverter makes one of the nicest arcs I've ever used on a wire feed. Very stable. To test it I welded about an hour on some .065 square tubing that I was building some things with. And it kept up like one of my big welders just fine. Then I welded a bit of .120 and it was just as good. I used the one pound of wire that came with it...just to see, and it was pretty good stuff. Holding it gets a bit heavy after an hour or so which is why I quit after an hour. But it certainly had no heating problems or voltage/current variations after that amount of welding. This using my Vantage 500 as a power source for it. So I'm running it off of a GFI 15 amp plug. I don't know how it would perform on a regular household outlet. I didn't try it but it should be similar. The wire feed nozzles are the same as the ones in my welding box. Standard. If I was going to suggest any change to it at all....it would be to build a better spool cover but that's a small thing on something in this price range. So this is going to be something I carry in the welding truck in one of the tool box panels and its gonna be used lots.

Es la segunda vez que sucede faltan articulos.
Que revisen bien que los artículos en el catalogo estén completos en el paquete y que el tape que sella el paquete sea el original. En mi caso faltaron articulos y el tape parecía que abrieron la caja.

Welds better than expected.
I ordered this just so I could install a metal floor on my ATV trailer. It did a fantastic job. It ran off of a 100ft extension cord no problem. Welds past it's duty cycle without shutting down. Fan is a little noisy but so far it's my only complaint. I was welding 1/4" so I couldn't tell you about anything heavier. For the price the build quality is what you would expect with plastic parts but welded far better than expected. Overall I am very impressed for the price. You can tell it's not a fancy welder running on 220. But for 110 it did great. Might think about swapping plug to a 30 amp if you plan to max it out. But It works great on thinner material. I would recommend this for any DIYer or beginner.

Have the right wire for the metal your welding.
This little welder paid for itself the first time I used it. My lawnmower broke. I was able to run an extension cord out pull the broken piece of metal off weld it put it back on and I’m back to Moen. It’s a pretty cool little gizmo.
