I was sitting in my garage home office one early Sunday morning and it was cold! Decided to buy a small heater like one of those DeLongi oil filled heaters and when I found it, the price had gone up a lot. Then Amazon showed me this one and I was skeptical of it but put it in my cart and kept looking more but found no bargains. I didn't want one that used hot red wires or metal fins, so I'm back to this one and bought it with the special thermostat. I watched the videos that claimed it's like sunlight and wondered what that would be like. So it came and I set it up behind my desk on the wall and started using it. It really doesn't feel like regular sunlight, but more like standing in the desert in 116F heat with the sun blazing down on me. First it heated up the metal frame of my Uplift desk, so that the desk is radiating more heat to me as well, and then it started to heat up the garage more, quite quickly, and all was well after that in about 20 minutes. So this small panel is quite powerful, and I feel like it's not using a lot of electricity, and came to temp quite quick and throttled down. Some interesting things ... Didn't heat up my computers, just the metal parts of the desk. Didn't give off a burning feeling on my skin or legs, just blazing sunlight but was comfortable. They say these panels are the future, where if you have solar on the roof, you use your excess electricity to power these things to heat your home and that is very plausible. I think it outperforms the Delongi compact oil filled heater, because the heat is directional and not 360 or circular, and can use less energy to focus heat where you want it. I consider this device as an experiment or introduction to the technology, and it has sold me on it. As for build quality, seems top notch to me, it's German. But you need the special thermostat to get the most out this device. I can see later down the road mounting a pair on my garage walls, turn them into pictures or art, but I didn't have the foresight in planning to place electric outlets for that during my remodel. On one hand it seems very expensive, but on the other hand it's a bargain considering that I won't burn down my garage and it should last forever. I'm very happy with it and would buy another one for my room for the winter next year.

Awesome energy efficient heaters for small spaces. Initially got one of these for my basement media room, it worked so well I bought 5 more as supplement heating for all the bedrooms in my house (some rooms need 2). I have a heat pump with electric Aux heating, one of these will definitely keep a 10 x 10 room warm (~70º) bigger than that and you'll probably want two on opposite sides of each other. Even with that, these heaters keep me out of the Aux heating, and running these ALL DAY (I don't do that, def use some sort of automation to control the off/on) would only use 2hrs of Aux heating electricity — HUGE savings in my winter electricity bill

It doesn't have any temperature control at all, so it will just run full blast continuously if you don't plug it into a wall outlet (plug receptacle) thermostat. I suspect an alternative means of control would be a Variac type AC voltage controller to adjust the continuous output power. I will say this unit is sleek but also robust, and the 600W or lower is sufficiently low power to run from a large battery backup if needed for a short time (though it is still atrociously low efficiency to run AC inversion from battery and then reconversion back to DC, such as for this heater). The infrared warmth it provides is super comfy and familiar... a lot like sitting on a windowsill or the sunny spot from a window as it cruises across the floor. Ask a cat. Oh, and its size may be bigger than you thought when you finally get it in, so just beware. Because it gets too hot to touch on the business side, placing it anywhere other than against a wall may be awkward. That said, it's worth the price for certain niche applications in small spaces. It was a bear, but I finally got it installed on the ceiling above my bed, for example, and it's perfect!

This heater is fantastic. As promoted, the heat is like sitting in front of a fireplace. So cozy. Light weight, silent, easy to install, inconspicuous, and does its job. What more could you want?

Works well and heats up my RV nicely. I wanted an alternative to gas heat in my fifth wheel. I am very pleased.

I'm unsure how to rate this heater because it's very different from what I was expecting from it as a heater. I put this in my 5x10' bathroom looking for a more spa-like experience, but it is a very underwhelming heater. It doesn't heat the room, but if you stand pretty close to it then it will heat your skin nicely. If you were able to put this somewhere it was very close to you, then you might really like this kind of heat. If you're counting on this for heating a room, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Very easy to assemble, even with the extra feet and thermostat that we purchased. All in all, I don't recommend this heater for the cost or even half the cost.

Great product! Puts out a lot of heat. You definitely need the thermostat that is recommended to go with it.

I am among the dissatisfied. There is a significant minority of reviews that are dissatisfied. I am not sure if it is defective or it's a heater that does not really work. I contacted Konighaus on their English Website, and had Amazon contact them. After a week no reply, so it's going back. I asked what is the normal behavior of this . On full power, the surface is warms up but no so hot that I can't touch it. At 15" I can feel some heat. At 3 feet, barely feel any heating. Far IR is supposed to heat objects but nothing I pointed it at felt warmer. I tried a 12x12 bed room. Pointed it at the bed and after 2 hours, everything was the same temp. I bought a graphene film far IR heater, and it works like expected this one to work, as people describe like being in a sunbeam in a cool room.

Insgesamt handelt es sich um ein durchdachtes, leistungsstarkes und zuverlässiges Produkt, das genau hält, was es verspricht. Bestelling en levering verliepen probleemloos. Aangekocht om in de badkamer te gebruiken als bijkomende verwarming. Na een paar minuten heb je al een behaaglijke warmte. Wordt aangezet een paar minuten voor de badkamer zal worden gebruikt en uitgeschakeld als wij ons toilet hebben gemaakt. Opgelet de bijgeleverde thermostaat was geen smart toestel, maw de thermostaat kan niet via de gsm worden bestuurd. Het is niet de bedoeling om met het apparaat de badkamer op te warmen tot 21°.

Ottimo prodotto, arrivato prima del previsto, collegato e provato i primi 2 giorni riscaldava solo da vicino, poi ha iniziato ad aumentare l'area riscaldata e ad una settimana mi tiene una temperatura superiore ai 20 gradi. Ordinato un altro in offerta da altro venditore e quando saranno di nuovo in offerta ne acquisterò altri 2 per completare il riscaldamento di casa
