I bought the 2TB version because they were all out of the 1TB version, and this is a fantastic product. It was way smaller than I expected, which is a good thing. It comes in its own small plastic case, as well as an small extension thing if you wish to put it on the back of your phone. It is an extremely secure connection when plugging into anything, its not loose whatsoever. It also comes with a few extra labels. As of functionality, it works extremely well. I was able to record Apple ProRes Log footage directly from my iPhone to the SSD, and there was absolutely no delay. When recording in 4k 25fps, it had around 9 hours of straight recording time. When transferring files from the drive to the computer, it also worked just fine, and with the fast speed they advertised. The design is really nice, with some ridges to grip when you pull it out. Its extremely easy to use, and I recommend watching a tutorial online if you feel unsure. The actual quality of the material is nice, and it comes with a rubber-like material around the whole thing to protect it from damage. Overall you get exactly what you paid for.

I use this with an iPhone 16 pro to record pro res footage and it works flawlessly. The phone recognizes it immediately and chooses it to store these files automatically. I’ve recorded pro res continually for over 20 minutes without a pause and experienced no problems. It does get a little warm but nothing to cause concern. The only downside is that you must use the supplied connector to attach it to anything, for some reason the usb c connector on the item is not tight enough to directly connect to a standard usb c port so the supplied connector must be used. Kinda awkward but not a huge hassle. Overall a great storage option.

This is one of my go to storage devices when using my iPhone for recording audio & video. It’s fast, the hub is great to plug in extra accessories like mics, lights, etc. it’s not bulky and has the speed and capacity for my 4K 60 videos in ProRes.

Good piece of gear. Works well and the speed and capacity of the drive is amazing considering the size and form factor. The only small complaint, and the reason I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5 is this… the hub is a little wonky with the PD power port. And what I mean is this, when I have a mic plugged into it along with the drive, it can’t always be depended upon to recognize the microphone. Sometimes, if you plug in the power supply to the PD port, it will help, and recognize the mic… But not always. It’s very spotty where the power supply port and microphone plug-in are involved.

Love this this will help with my iPhone photography and videography as well as a filmmaker to have more versatility and have better quality

Meh; had hopes of it being flush with the iPhone but there’s a few inches of a gap, I guess this is for iPhone cases. What doesn’t make sense is the tripod attachment is too snug to the iPhone.Also the USB C is loose to the iPhone, so when holding it, the hard drive and the usb hub moves.Other than those it works fine, but it’s a hard drive with a hub, which is why I bought it. Maybe I’ll be able to 3D print a holder…

No issues filming 4K progress format with this. It’s very small and perfectly fit with your phone

_____👉 Now that the iPhone 17 Pro Max records video in ProRes Raw, it's 100% necessary to have a large fast drive👉 Recorded about 50 video clips in 4k 120p ProRes Raw with zero frame drops and no data corruption👉 I have not done a long form single take video but i would never do that anyways👉 If this is your plan also, i recommend the 2TB minimum👉 Otherwise you will be overwriting many many times and corrupt the drive much faster✅ Love the ability to just pull the drive off the phone and install it directly to my MacBook Pro✅ I also use the drive to store scene footnotes and shooting data logs that transfer to the MacBook for editing_____
