Marvel Studios Visual Dictionary Hardcover – September 25, 2018

When I saw pictures of certain pages posted on Google Pictures, I knew I just HAD to get this book. It was amazing to learn about little tidbits you didn't know before, such as the details of the Sun's and Moon's horses on Odin's throne, or the fact that there are four species of deer on Asgard, and the pages on the Asgardian royal family were just a treat to read about (reading up on Frigga was one of my favorites). But as you can see from my title here, the real squeal part came when looking at the section on Loki. Four pages. FOUR GLORIOUS PAGES BURDENED WITH GLORIOUS PURPOSE TALKING ABOUT THE GOD OF MISCHIEF!!! I'm in Heaven!!! SQUEEE!!! Great buy!!! <3 <3 <3

My son loves this book! He's 8. We keep it in the car, and it keeps him more than occupied. He loves telling us all the facts about the different superheroes. Worth buying if you or your kiddo are into Marvel.

My 6 year old who loves Marvel loves this book... He can read some names and is learning to associate the words with the characters....He even knows more about some less commerically popular characters than me (as Mom and him read the book and he retains the details.) A must have Marvel guide for characters featured in the movies.

My daughter and husband are just in love with the Marvel characters. The moment she saw this book she had to have it. It provides character features and how each character ties into Marvel. Pretty cool - they love it.

I really like this book. I love the MCU movies and this really is a nice guide to accompany the films up to Infinity War. There are problems. For one, there were many pages where I felt they could have greatly expanded on things. They only have a page and a half on Thanos while other villains get a full two pages, and the Children of Thanos only get a half page, where I think they should have gotten their own two pages to break down the things they can do/elaborate on the little we know about them. That’s one thing I think they could have done, there is a lack of new material or material that is little known unless you read MCU books that take place in the universe like the Star Wars dictionaries do. This is a very surface level book, but I honestly am just glad it exists. Their is also no Spider-Man content in this book, which is disappointing. I actually made my own dictionary expansion of Spider-Man stuff to make up for it because Homecoming is my favorite MCU film. I also wish this had cross selections of props showing the inside of the tech like with the Star Wars dictionaries do. That requires a lot of hands on work, but they’re always my favorite parts, and it feels wrong not to have them do that with such spectacular and iconic props.I know this doesn’t make the book look good, but it’s actually very nice. It’s awesome to look at all the great pictures and to see the breakdowns of the props and costumes from the films. I also love just having this book exist, because I never thought we’d get one of these, and the format really works. I love looking at this book and seeing how wide the universe is and how diverse it is, from Captain America to Black Panther, to Ant-Man, to the Guardians. That’s a great part of the book for me. Also just a minor thing, I LOVE the cover and spine. It just gets you hyped up, with actual gold foiling and the mate red color. They also chose the EXACT right characters to put there, and I love that Black Panther is front and center, not Tony. It’s just cool and really sets the tone of the stuff you’re going to see, obscure items from the universe, lots of characters, and a good time.I would recommend this book, especially for kids and fans of the MCU that love these types of books, which I do. Hope this review helps!

I overnighted it to get it same day and was told it was not going to arrive then come to my surprise it said delivered and got here at night and was handed with care even tho it was late but I could not be more happy to have received it today, as you can tell in the picture it’s a lot bigger then I was expecting but I love that it’s bigger honestly it is just a great buy all together with the Quality and size and the book is amazing!!!

I originally ordered this book because of a photo somebody shared from it and I have to say that it's an amazing visual book. We go from Iron Man to Captain America to Loki to Groot! Who doesn't love Groot. As a fan fiction writer this books helps a lot

We bought this for our daughter and she loves it,hardback so it is much nicer and durable.
