My friends and I have tried a number of different electric stoves for cooking and preparing coals for hookah (the kind that don't self-ignite). This Ahadu brand is the best. Gets hot really quickly and stays hot without constantly cycling the coils. Six cube coals will be ready in less than 10 minutes. Eat your heart out competitors! If you leave it as is, the longevity will be terrible, maybe a few months if you use it often. The last burner we had went through nearly a year of daily use (3-4 heating sessions per day) with a simple modification. Normally, the bowl where you would light the coals touches the coils ever so slightly. What I did was made said bowl slightly concave so that it does not touch the coils. The easiest way to do this was to simply turn the bowl upside down and give it a few light taps with a hammer. That's it. It's also not a bad idea to dump the ash out every so often when the burner has cooled down. I don't know if it actually helps with longevity, but doesn't hurt to try!

I liked it got hot and warmed the coal quickly but I just ordered this unit 12/20/23 and it stopped working last week. 2/14/24

🔥 Hazardous and Defective Electronic Burner DANGEROUS, Defective, and Failed in Under a Month I purchased this electronic burner just 32 days ago, and I am absolutely appalled by its failure and the extreme hazard it presented. It was used solely for heating coconut coals for hookah, a task it is supposedly designed for. Catastrophic Failure The unit lasted barely a month—failing just a few days shy of my return window, which is incredibly frustrating. The failure was not a gentle shut-off; the burner coil ruptured and caused an electrical fire. This is not just a disappointment; it's a profound safety issue. Extreme Safety Hazard This product is extremely hazardous. The fact that a critical component failed in such a spectacular and dangerous manner after minimal use speaks volumes about its quality and safety standards. I am thankful this item didn't burn down my house. The potential for serious property damage or injury from this defective product is unacceptable. I strongly advise against purchasing this electronic burner. Given the electrical fire caused by the defective coil, I consider this a potentially lethal and hazardous item that should be pulled from the market.

I have purchased three of these and they all worked great. They light coals in a reasonable time frame and they lasted for several months with high usage before the first one eventually wore out. The second was bought only a couple months after the first and it is still going strong. I just bought the third. I am pleased with the quality of this product.

Solid stove for frequent burning of coconut coals. Used it often for the past 2 years. It gets very hot so be sure to clear the area around the stove for safety purposes. Two months ago, started noticing that the coils were beginning to warp and slant. I assumed this was due to the clamp occasionally staying on the metal basket while the coals were heating up or when the blasket was placed back on the coil, with the clamp remaining on the basket, while the coil was cooling off. As of today, I found that it was no longer heating up due to the coil eventually breaking, cutting the circuit. For $25, I'd say it was still worth the cost and convenience.

Works as expected!

Everything works as should. and is a great product. As a creative thinker and user of the product. I think the stove and the charcoal pot should have separate handles. Detachable or dual use was a great idea but, feels weird to use it that way. Otherwise very well made product.
