great support solution for dogs
The fit is comfortable and secure, providing excellent hock support without restricting natural movement. The material is sturdy yet soft, helping protect wounds and promote healing while keeping the legs stable. The reflective safety straps are a thoughtful feature, making my dog more visible during evening or early morning walks. The adjustable straps ensure a snug fit, and the braces stay in place even during activity.

Purfect first aid back leg support for cats
My eighteen-year old kitty's back legs turned both limp after jumping off his stool two days ago. He was moving better the next day, but quite wobbly and could not jump onto his comfy chair; then today, he started having massive urinary and bowel incontinence heavy vocalizing and drinking a lot of water while meowing. It was becoming a nightmare for me. Thankfully, when I received the hind leg neoprene braces today(ordered it exactly two days ago) and put them on my kitty, all the wobbliness and limp stopped, and he was moving normally and could jump onto his chair. He was able to urinate normally in his box. So I am trusting that it was a sprain injury, and nothing worse (and a massive monetary savings from an unnecessary, and expensive visit to an emergency animal hospital or a vet clinic , and the stress it would have put on my cat from it all) I will monitor the situation. He is a well-supplemented, energetic healthy kitty for his age. What I like most about this brace is the way it seems to contour around the rear leg back like a soft glove, and gives both gentle, strong support that you almost don't notice it being there on the cat, and doesn't irritate the fur (which is something I am concerned with my medium-haired cat). At first, my cat was mildly wondering what was going on, but then he moved about normally at his normal pace as if nothing happened to him. My hope that this will help stabilize the injury and help heal whatever inflamed soft tissue or muscle ligament. The material isn't at all flimsy or chintzy (like someone wrote in one of these reviews). Extra-small is the size for most cats (unless it is a larger breed, but the measurement indication table will tell you, after measuring the hock rear circumference with a paper measuring tape used for wait hip measurements (usually found in small sowing kit boxes) It was in a way a life-saver for my kitty today, and I am thankful it arrived in time today. It is obviously made with a deep understanding of the physiology and anatomy of cat's legs, for sure. And now he can sleep peacefully (which he is doing now) I am thankful, thankful thankful! This is something to add to any animal first- aid emergency kit, for both dogs and cats! And a good aid for physical rehabilitative therapy. A worthy health investment!

Provides more stability
Our 12 year old chocolate lab has developed arthritis which is also now affecting his hind quarters after being mostly confined to his front legs. The product is simply made but definitely provides stability to his hind legs and helps him in getting up. Good fit with the XL size and easy to get on and off. Appreciative of this product because it provides some help. He's also on and anti-inflammatory and pain meds. As most labs, he's still a happy boy, but our walking times are very limited. We are also waiting for organic CBD oil to be delivered as recommended by our vet. Hoping that between this reviewed product and the CBD oil that our dog will have a good quality of life for a good while yet. Otherwise in good shape. Finally, the product is well-made. It's not supposed to be hard and stiff because it needs to conform to the shape of the leg. Even though it looks simple, it delivers a benefit for our dog.

Support rod pushed threw material
The only reason I gave this product 3 stars is because the support rods pushed through the material. After sewing the holes with a strong thread I haven't had a problem.

Not a brace more like a compression sleeve
This is not an ankle brace its has no metal or anything to keep it firm and actually help with ankle issues. It's just a piece of fabric it's more like a compression sleeve which is not what the description says. Not to mention it was way over priced at $35 for a piece of fabric, I only paid that because I thought it was a ankle brace that would help my senior dog with her ankle moving forward, It did nothing

Good quality and sturdy
I love these braces. Easy to put on (once you get the velcro to stop sticking to it) It fits well and doesn't seem to bother him so it must be somewhat comfortable. In my experience they have helped with his pain and limping. I would definitely recommend these braces.

Not a robust product
The braces are easy to put on. They do not want to stay on the dog. We live at the beach. We are on the sand and in the ocean pretty much every day. Even walking around town the braces do not stay securely fastened. The closures do not stay fastened properly. In fact I have had to go out into the ocean twice now to retrieve the braces. Well they do offer some small level of support. With the activity level of our Labrador I was hoping for a bit more of a robust product.

Sincere and practical
After my dog tore his ACL, the vet recommended surgery, which was expensive. To be on the safe side, I bought this hind leg brace, and the results exceeded my expectations! The metal brace provides support, and my dog no longer limps or walks awkwardly. He can walk normally and even slowly go for short walks.
