I was skeptical, but it definitely works
I am a 61-year-old woman, and my hair has been thinning for several years. I used to have a lot of very thick hair, so the thinning wasn't noticeable to anyone but myself. Then a few months ago I suddenly noticed drastic hair loss in my temple area. My front hairline also became thin, so you could see my scalp through the hair. I started to have to style my hair to hide the loss, avoiding certain hair styles like pony tails and updos that exposed my bald temples. I did a lot of research on how to address this, and found the iRestore on Amazon. It was expensive, but I figured if it worked it would be a lot cheaper than going to my dermatologist for treatment. I was skeptical that it would be the magic bullet I wanted, but thought I'd try it before I went in for more expensive medical treatments. I've been using the iRestore for almost two months. I also use Rogaine for women once a day (the directions are to use it twice), and I take the Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin, and Nails gummy vitamins that have biotin. I've been using different hair-loss shampoos as well, Bosley Defense and Pronexa alternately. I thought the shotgun approach would be the best way to address the problem. I'm happy to say that my hair is regrowing beautifully. I'm no longer self conscious about my hair style. I have lots of new baby hair coming in, and it's my natural dark color, not white like a lot of my hair is. I give most of the credit to the iRestore helmet; I've tried Rogaine for women in the past with little result, but this time around my hair is really responding. I would highly recommend this product for women in my situation, I've told all my friends about the iRestore, and once I open the door to this conversation it turns out that every single one of my 50's and 60's-aged friends have noticed enough hair loss to raise concerns. The price seems a little high, but in my opinion it's a small price to pay for incredible hair regrowth as well as not having to see the doctor about it. The helmet is really easy to use. It's comfortable and the controller works great. I sit down and relax with a glass of wine and a book and I really look forward to those 25 minutes every other day! I like that you can pause the timer and get up and do something if you have to, then resume the timer when you can sit back down. I know everyone will probably have different results, but for me the iRestore is working beautifully and allowing me to regain the thick, luxurious head of hair I had when I was younger. I started out skeptical, but no longer. For me at least, this product was the magic bullet I was looking for! I should probably add that on the iRestore website, the helmet is on sale for $200 off for two more days. The normal website price is $695, so normally Amazon is a better deal, but until January 31 they are offering a $200 coupon.

Hair regrowth for senior women that works!
I am a 77 year old woman who was experiencing thinning hair. My mother had hair loss in her later years to the extent that she had to resort to wigs for nearly 20 years. They were very expensive and troublesome so I was looking for an alternative solution for myself. I read the reviews for this laser therapy and though it was expensive I decided to give it a try. I have been using it for almost a year now and it has worked wonderfully. Though I still lose hair, new hair has grown in to compensate for the loss and my hair feels full again. The only area where my hair is still thin are my bangs and I really don’t mind that. I’ve lost the stress I was feeling over possibly going bald. It is so easy to use. Just a 25 minute session every other day. I sit and do a jigsaw puzzle on my computer and it shuts off automatically when it’s done. I actually look forward to that quiet time to myself. Although it is an expensive purchase it would be far more costly to have to buy new wigs every few months. I hope this continues to work for a long time, but if it does wear out eventually, I will buy another one.

High Hopes!
I've been slowly losing my hair for a number of years. As a woman, this has been very hard for me. I've been to the dermatologist, who did the blood tests and determined my hair loss is genetic. When I showed her a picture of my mother who has great hair at 20 years older than me, she suggested I was adopted but hadn't been told. My mother refutes that statement. The dermatologist recommended minoxidil every night for the rest of my life. As a person with many allergies including contact dermatitis/eczema, this didn't seem like a good option for me. So I left it alone and just hoped it would get better. It did not. It got worse. Now at 54, I'm basically doing an obvious comb over in the front. I've changed my part from the left side to the right side, to the middle but it's all thin in the front... Regardless of how I part, I've got way too much scalp showing. This has been emotionally very devastating for me. So I decided I had to act or take up wearing a hat/scarf every time I leave home or have company for the rest of my life... That's how I discovered iRestore. The FDA approval makes me feel better about the device. First, realize that it is intended to use regularly for the rest of your life. And that's what you are signing up for with it as it states stopping using it, "may result in the progression of hair loss." There are other drawbacks. The first is the initial cost without knowing what/if any results it will produce. The company states that it should last for 5 years minimum with regular usage. However, the warranty is only for 1 year. As someone with so many allergies, the possibility of being allergic to the light wavelength is much higher for me than with someone with no allergies. Then there is the initial shedding period of 3 months or more. I'm terrified I'm going to end up more balding in the front than I already am and then have no regrowth.... Only time will tell. I've been using it every other day as directed for about 2 weeks now. So far, I can't tell if there is any shedding or not. I don't seem to be allergic to the light wavelength. However, it does seem to dry out my already dry scalp and hair. I've had itching which I have been addressing with hyaluronic acid serum after each use which seems to help. It is comfortable to wear and easy to use. As someone who wears glasses, I am a bit concerned about the red light reflecting off them into my eyes. The device came with an offer of a free supplement consisting of saw pimento and dht blocker. As a post-menopausal woman, simple research revealed that saw pimento is believed to lower estrogen levels which would be very negative for me. As such, the offer seems to be for men only. It would be great if the company acknowledged that some of their clients are women and offered an alternative for us. Additionally, when registering the warranty, the company offers 1 free bottle of their hair loss minimizing shampoo. As someone who is allergic to fragrance, this is another offer that excludes me. I am going to get it anyway for my brother who is also losing his hair. (Really close to tears) I took before photos to see what shedding/regrowth results I experience. I will update this review when shedding/hair regrowth results are known. If this doesn't help/work, I will be a loveless hermit for the rest of my life so fingers crossed!!! Best to you,

Used for almost 2 years exactly as instructed - not a single new hair grew. Zero improvement. Zero results. Complete waste of time and money. This product is nothing but an overpriced scam.
