I enjoy making candles, it’s my zen moment and this kit has everything to make several great smelling candles at a good price. No mess, easy to follow directions, fun to do and cheaper than buying candles and don’t forget you’ll need to see if the power goes out during the next storm. Why wouldn’t you want to buy this?

Trying my hand at making my own candles since I love them so much. This set comes with everything to get started. My original set i received the tins were all dented up (I'm assuming during shipping) I reached out to the seller and received a promt reply apologizing and they sent another set, that set was in perfect condition. The scents the kit come with are perfect for practicing, they are not as strong as I would like. But, keeping in mind I am just perfecting things I won't hold that against the company. If you are looking for stronger scents and are just starting out I would recommend practicing with this kit and then purchasing different essential oils. Overall I would recommend this kit.

This kit is NOT for getting into candle making and here's the main reason why: it teaches you bad habits.1. Do NOT add these dried flowers or whatever they are to your candle, they are a fire hazard. 1 open flame is enough, you don't need these catching on fire and then having multiple fire sources in 1 jar.2. Fragrance oil should be added at roughly 180-185 degrees to it can thoroughly mix with the wax.3. You should clean and then heat your jar or container before pouring wax into it to prevent frosting, which if you follow these instructions, you will get on your candles.In addition to this, the dye blocks would not dissolve without leaving flakes AND I ordered the kit with the plug in wax melter, it would not heat my wax up past 165, I had to buy something separate to melt the wax. I'm not sure where the wax and fragrance oils were sourced from but my wax pool stuck around the flame and did not properly spread and melt the outsides of the candle or give a strong scent through so I'm calling this a bust.If you're just starting out, go with the double boiler method and PLEASE research candle making prior or else you will be discouraged with the outcomes. I understand they probably wanted simplicity in creating the instructions for this kit, however it leaves out lots of crucial and important details of candle making. If you're doing it as a one time thing then okay, but if you're looking to actually get into this hobby, you're better off buying everything separate and doing proper research before starting.EDIT: I’ve posted hundreds of reviews on Amazon about how great or terrible products are. This is the FIRST company to reach out and resolve the issues. I had it my rating at 2 stars and I’m upping it to 4 because of the customer service and resolution. But please people don’t put things in your candles still and do research before starting!

A fun activity to do with friends or mom. The instructions are easy to follow and the scents provided smell so good. Great value and can use again and again

The media could not be loaded. Purchased this as an activity to do for Galentines Day and it was so much fun. We used our own containers that I purchased from a different store, but the wax and smells were all really good! It was so easy to use. It heats up quick so just be mindful of that when you’re using it. The wax has to be a certain temp before you can pour it.

For the price point, this is a good option if you’re just getting in to candle making or want to do something personally or small scale. Heats consistently and quickly. Very easy to clean and store.It does not have an automatic shut off on temperature, so you’ll need to monitor the temp to ensure it does not get too hot.
