I bought two of these mats to go under cat litter trays, however I think the strong smell may have put my cat off. I am letting them air out and may try again, otherwise I will use them as door mats as they are very sturdy and I think will do the job well.

The litter now stays on mat or just slightly around surrounding floor, instead of next room. Also use under feeding bowls, amazing now only have on mat and not around kitchen floor! Much easier to keep clean.

Does the job well and I really liked the info email sent by the company on purchase. Unfortunately my cat has decided to start peeing directly on to it and I just can’t keep taking it outside to hose it down. Cleaning up urine from the kitchen floor is more of a job than vacuuming up litter so it’s going out. Would recommend to anyone if you have a well behaved cat though

We have used litter mats for a couple of years after getting fed up of wet newspaper under the litter tray. This mat is the first one that actually fits the area we need it to cover to trap stray litter. It is a very easy material to hose down to clean. The seller provided a comprehensive guide to litter box use which would be great for a new cat owner. Perfect for the job.

The only question is, why have we not found this product earlier in life? Our cat is now 18 years old and we have wasted our time on trying all sorts of things to keep cat litter inside the litter tray and not everywhere in the house. Thanks for bringing this product to the market! Works perfectly well, litter that has been flicked or carried out of the tray is easily brush off the mat. The cat does not mind the feel of the surface under her paws, so very good all round.

This has helped stop some of their litter (I have 2 cats) being strewn across my black tiled floor, still have chalky paw prints to deal with but I'm glad I have bought this mat as it's not half as messy as before 😺

Great item my 2 little kittens love this..it is nice snd soft. It does just what it says .....very good useful Item. Would recommend it.

Several issues with the product 1 - Smells strongly of plastic/chemicals when removed from package 2 - Caused my cat to urinate on the mat instead of in his litterboxes - He has NEVER urinated outside the box before in his 15 years of life, I even had a full workup done to ensure there was no medical reason for this and he was given a 100% clean bill of health. Since stopping using the product he is back to using his litterboxes without issue. I suspect this is from the bad plastic/chemical smell. 3 - Urine smell is stuck in the plastic no matter how many times I wash it - this just encouraged him to keep peeing on it as it already smelled like urine after the first time. I have requested a refund and will be shipping it back right away, praying they don't give me any hassle as they claim a 100% full money refund guarantee if not satisfied with no questions asked - but I did tell them the issues anyway.

This is such a great litter mat! Have had it a couple years. Between my own cats and foster cats, this mat has been used and abused by approximately 13 cats over the years. Still in perfect condition! You can and should vacuum this mat as often as possible. Never an issue even with daily vacuuming sessions. Usually once a month I will take it outside and bang it clean and allow it to sit out in the sun to air out and disinfect. I do spray it down every couple of months with a disinfectant. Then, let dry before using again. I was forced to wash it as one of the dogs puked on it and I couldn’t get it clean. It washed up perfectly. No issues at all. I laid on railing outside to let it throughly dry. I set out the litter box with no mat and then with this one to compare. Of course there was a lot of litter right in front of the box as well as tracked around with no mat. With this mat, it catches all the litter between the holes. I lift up the top layer, sweep the litter with my small broom, and then toss it back in the box - instead of trying to fold the mat and pour it back in. I did notice some tracking around the area, but I can't imagine a mat that catches absolutely everything. I don't really notice any litter in other rooms, so that's great as well. Also note that this mat is thicker than most, so it's best to have the litter box all the way on the mat or not at all, otherwise the box will be a bit wobbly.
